Irie Jamms Show Freddie Mcgregor Interview

from DJ 745 Hosted by DJ 745

This weeks Irie Jamms Show sees the legend Freddie Mcgregor take over the show with his musical selections. Earlier this year we sat down with Freddie McGregor at his Big Ship Studios in Kingston, JA and asked him to share a few songs that have had a profound impact on his life as part of our 'Musical Inspirations Series'. The song selections are truly amazing and really help to understand how we has maintained a fine vocal tone for over 5 decades. Freddie talks about his forthcoming album 'True To My Roots' as well as his musical works with Chino and Stephen Di Genius Mcgregor. Our Single of the Week comes from Nesbeth with a powerful song D.I.A.L. and brand new vinyl juggling from Adele Harley and Sanchez on a heavy update of 'Try a little smile' as well as new music from Jah Bouks, Kirk Bennett/ Tarrus Riley from the forthcoming 'Rumble In The Jungle' album and a killer combination featuring Kafinal, Ken Boothe and King Yellowman. Some classic Freddie Mcgregor selections are thrown into the mix for good measure!
