It's the International Reggae Day edition of the Irie Jamms Show from DJ 745! Strictly oldies in this edition celebrating the best of 80's and 90's dancehall music ft General Degree, Nadine Sutherland, Terror Fabulous, Tanto Metro & Devonte, Ninjaman, Shabba Ranks alongside select cuts from IRD's 'Dancehall Anthems' chart. A revival style Roots O'Clock with the best in reggae music from yesteryear including selections from Leroy Smart, Burning Spear, Culture, Marcia Griffiths and a special selection of classics from Dennis Emmanuel Brown. We will trace back some of the pioneering songs from the musical genre as well as playing the first song ever to feature the word 'Reggae' in it's title!
