Having discussed the build-up to a conflict that was becoming increasingly unavoidable, Conor takes the gang through the early stages of the Irish Civil War proper - starting with the Siege of Dublin and the immediate aftermath of the IRA's failure to hold the city. Join us as we look into the new Free State Army and its trials and tribulations as they begin to fight with the brothers in arms they nearly secured independence with, and learn some fascinating developments in Irish military thinking - like some of the numerous amphibious landings they attempted to conduct, and if an armoured car can double as a submarine!
