Food in tourism is so important to Ireland. The Food in Ireland has gone through a Renaissance in the last few years. Ireland once had a bad reputation for food, recently however, Ireland has taken their &#8220;from farm to table&#8221; philosophy further and has quickly became a Foodies tourist destination. 6:40 What is Boxty? Boxty is potato bread from the northwest part of Ireland. The difference between Boxty and potato bread is that Boxty contains raw potato. Some of the more common forms of Boxty are pancakes and dumplings. If you want to make a Boxty in the US, he recommends using Russet potatoes. Do not use Yukon Gold, they are too wet. 12:00 Must have dishes while visiting Ireland: Padraic encourages everyone to eat whatever you want (Italian, Chinese, French, etc.); as long as the base ingredients are local, it's all Irish and it's all good.
