Things that go bump in the night are still explained away with tales of creatures from an ancient time and other superstitions are adhered to because they are afraid to upset the mythical beings that exist in the Irish other worldly plain. We are joined by a group of DCU students who are doing their masters in Multimedia who call their collective The Glimmer Men. They have a website www.glimmer.men where you can find footage and documents of a secret Irish Government organisation called An Roinn Anaithnid or The Unknown Department. This organisiation and its agents, The Glimmer Men, are working away in the background of modern Irish life to keep the monsters of old from wreaking havoc on an unsuspecting public. They are a kind of MIB for Irish Mythological creatures. We chat with The Glimmer Men and get backgrounds on the characters that feature on their website as well as chatting with a few members of the public with their own stories of monsters and ghoulies, and we give you a background of our favourite Irish Mythological stores and wonder are they actually from a place of fact and history?
