Irish Open Garda Accommodation Situation "A Shambles" Ahead Of Trump Visit

With the expected visit of US President Donald Trump to Clare next month, thousands of Gardaí are being drafted in for what the Garda Commissioner has described as an “extraordinary event.”   But there are growing concerns about accommodation, with officers reportedly being told to make their own arrangements despite hotel prices in the region reaching more than €1,000 a night.   The Garda Representative Association has described the situation as “nothing short of a shambles.”   Daragh Dolan joined by Clare GRA Representative Dominic Curtin to discuss the concerns facing Gardaí ahead of the operation.
