Madelyn Monaghan is an Irish-American traditional singer, actress, writer, and international recording artist based in NYC. This September 2024, she was a leading performer at the Celtic World Forum in Dublin and at the Rockport Celtic Music Festival in Massachusetts. Madelyn’s album éist, a collaboration with Cullen Vance, made it to the 2022 GRAMMYs ballot in the Global Music category. Her voice can be heard in commercials, films, museums, and EDM arenas all over the world. In 2023, Madelyn co-wrote and sang on a Sean-nós/EDM fusion track called “Follow The King” with Ben Gold of Armada Records in Amsterdam. The track has gotten remixed by the likes of Scottish DJ David Forbes and played on A State of Trance by Armin van Buuren. From viral TikToks to releasing her own contemporized arrangements of traditional songs, Madelyn has helped to bring the sean-nós style to the world’s stage.
