Hello everybody. Welcome to the first episode of the Iron Den. My name is Ian Hand. It's going on folks.

I'm Danny Gutierrez. And we're just a bunch of comic book fans who just love to talk about movies and just pretty much anything super here related. So before we get into any big meat of the presentation, how will we just give a nice little introduce and introduce ourselves? Wow, I'm screwing up already.

I want to introduce ourselves a little bit. You want me to start? Yeah, you can start. I've been talking far enough already.

You guys can call me Danny. I go by Daniel Sun. So I guess for the sake of this, you guys can call me D.S. I've been reading and watching Marvel and DC comics and TV shows and cartoons and movies for a very long time and big fan of anime and Japanese manga as well.

So it just made I usually do MMA minutes with Sean Anderson. You can listen to us on the MMA minutes on SoundCloud. But what I'm not doing when I'm not talking about fighting, I like to talk about comics and other nerdy stuff and other stuff pop culture. So today's topic is Wonder Woman, our long awaited review of Wonder Woman.

Before we get into Wonder Woman, why don't we let Ian introduce himself? Yeah, Wonder Woman, that was fun. Really long awaited. I think this is coming out late June and that movie came out on the second.

Oh, yeah. So we're just 24 days waiting. It's been a long time coming. It's been a long time coming.

Because we've people forgot about it. So we'll just talk about it later. I've been, again, big comic book, big superhero fan as long as I can remember. I want to say, probably when I was a kid, I remember watching a bunch of Batman and Superman cartoons.

I eventually grew into Spider-Man comics, which is pretty much when my big love of Venom came from. So expect a lot of Venom content on this eventually. Venomverse. Venomverse, I can't wait.

I just can't, even though it's already out probably, I still can't wait to get a whole trade of it. I'm not going to bother single issues. It's going to be too much for me. But I also grew into more things.

I loved the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I love the DC Cinematic Universe. We show of course we will have debates about later on if Danny ever sees a Batman v Superman. I'll get there.

I'm going to watch the Uncut Extended Trailer. So I mean, Uncut Extended Movie, so we'll see. You have to. Don't watch The Atrical.

This is just a warning if you're still on the fence. I'll see them. Just do it. Just watch the full version.

Just do it. I watched The Atrical version. I'm like, this isn't bad. And I watch The Ultimate version.

I want to throw away my theatrical version of DVD. Really? I want to see it's really bad in comparison. Anyway, so I also like Japanese manga as well.

I'm a huge JoJo Bizarre Adventure fan. As am I. Huge JoJo fan. Expect something in January.

Just going to call it JoJo-Newary. We'll just do that in January. That sounds awesome. I went with it last night in a cold sweat.

I came up with a great thing. I want to expel all my knowledge of that. I don't want to just have an episode. Let's have a whole month dedicated to it.

JoJo-Newary. It sounds awesome. JoJo-Newary. We'll just throw around with it.

We'll always drive it up a little bit. We'll see. We'll drive it. It's gotten bad already.

What's to expect for the rest of this channel? Obviously, we have talked about superheroes. We also, since movies and superheroes are pretty much hand in hand these days and are probably the only thing people go see these days in the box offices on Friday nights. We'll talk about the superhero movies.

The reviews of the trailers, the reviews of the actual movie when we see them, and pretty much just any early reviews. We're going to try to keep it as spoiler-free as we can. Maybe for them reviews, we might be a little more in the parallel territory. We're still kind of like deciding about that right now.

But we would also like to know what you guys thought of the movies and trailers and stuff like that. Leave comments below and let us know and see how everything's going, how everything's doing. Yes, of course. Feel free to always correct and criticize us.

Even though we might not always take them to heart as long as you guys are paying attention and giving us feedback, we really appreciate it. Also again, we'll always have a new, whenever we actually officially caught up with JoJo, we'll just have a nice little tidbit like, oh, did you hear the new chapter? I am 22 chapters away from being caught up, by the way. And that's enough I'm going to say about JoJo right now, just 22 chapters and I'm finally officially caught up in 30 years of just reading manga.

I'm not even 30, it's just like, it's 30 years of content. I finally got to like the last 22 chapter on my home stretch, until I come up with a new chapter and I'll be like, ah, then I'm going to become one of those guys who reads chapters monthly. Oh, man. So we have talked plenty about ourselves.

I mean, I don't know, have we? I feel like, look at the notes a little bit as the videos go on. Oh, yeah, they'll be like, oh, god, I'm like our friends, Ian and Danny and stuff like that. They'll be so like creepy about us.

Hopefully we appreciate the creepiness. Let's just know where I loved it. So to the main bulk of the of our first pilot is of course not just talking about us, but we're talking about Wonder Woman, a long awaited overdo review of Wonder Woman of one of the best, I want to say the savior of the DC extended universe, even though I liked the previous titles, I don't know about savior. See the man of steel was good, but we talked about this.

The BVS, I guess the uncut the DVD release was a bigger success than the actual theatrical release was. Absolutely. So it was kind of a sleeper success, it's kind of spiritual success. Suicide Squad was trash.

Suicide Squad was garbage. Wonder Woman was very, very good, very well put together and I was very excited to watch this movie because this movie was this was the first live action movie of Wonder Woman, I believe, and you watch it ever since 1942 when she was introduced. Yeah, it was a very long time ago. I'm gonna do some math.

You keep talking, I'm gonna do the calculations on my phone about how long ago that was. So Wonder Woman follows Diana Prince, who's a princess on Themyscira that's an island that's filled with just warrior princesses and they do nothing but fight and protect themselves and they're basically protected from the world by magic and they live on this island. And you see Diana Prince grow up and as she's growing up she's learning to fight and learning her trade and learning how to be a true Amazonian warrior princess and she sees a plane coming through the clouds and it crashes onto the beach and she sees that it's a man and then the movie starts. Basically the movie practically starts and the action sequences are really, really cool in this scene.

Okay, for some reason my phone won't let me do that math. Anyway it's been almost 70 years, let's just put it that way. I had like a part of my screen, it's broken, my equal sign, just won't equal. Yeah, I believe it's a long time coming.

The reason I call it the savior I think critically. It's been 75 years. 75 years. Yeah 75 years and this is her first live action appearance.

I guess since DC's been doing a lot of those 75 year anniversary things I guess there's no better year for it to come out. I mean it's 75 years too late in my eyes or at least at least a good 20 to years too late, like sure 50 years is still like way too long because Batman and Superman have been getting adaptation since the 50s or something like that. So what did you think of Wonder Woman? I thought it was great and the reason again like I was trying to say like the reason I think it's the savior it's more critically I believe that man is pretty good, very underestimated.

It was a very good movie. People are going to look back on that movie and say that was a good Superman movie. Yeah, they're very split on it. I understand why people are split on it.

I've heard of criticisms. I'm not going to try to. What are criticisms behind it? Oh, you know, just because it's very violent and it's like a lot of people die in the troubles, but the reason I will get to that.

I feel like that was that was besides the point. I feel like there wasn't enough of that. I feel like we didn't need that with this Superman. With this Superman, see when Superman's always written or when Superman's cast, Superman is always sure.

Superman is always right. He's always head honcho and he knows what we know what's basically what's why he's right and type thing. Oh yeah, absolutely. It's written to be usually an elitist type character.

This Superman you got to see kind of grow up a little bit and discover himself and he was actually questioning himself and questioning his powers and questioning things between right and wrong and his heritage of being human, his Kryptonian heritage. Like he was just questioning himself. There was a lot of conflict within this Superman, a lot of internal and external conflict in Man of Steel. That's why Henry Cavill did a great job as a Cal L Superman Clark Kent, whoever.

He did a very, very good job in that movie and that was a very underestimated movie. It was a sleeper success. It was a good movie. Oh yeah, I completely agree.

I watched it right before I went to go see Dawn Justice for the first time all the way through right before I went to go see that movie. And I thought it was really good. There was some pacing problems. I don't really know.

I don't understand why people hated it so much, but I understand the criticisms if that makes sense. Like I don't care if you hate it, but I understand why you hate it. I don't care if you do. A bunch of Marvel fans, hardcore Marvel fans went to go see it and then they trashed it.

That's what it was. That overgrown conspiracy. Maybe, maybe. And I mean, Batman v Superman was pretty good, but again, horrible at the critics and people didn't like it that much.

I thought it was really good. Actually one of my favorite movies, well I'm not superhero movies. I should probably clarify. I had my favorite superhero movie list and it's on there.

But I was on my favorite movie movie list. Okay. I'm going to go to the bathroom and watch it and watch it. I did that for Wonder Woman.

I did that for Star Wars. I did that for Spider-Man. I did it for Logan. I did not do it for Suicide Squad.

I was looking for an excuse to leave with movie theater and I was like, oh man, I gotta go use the bathroom. I came back and I asked what happened and they said nothing. I can't just do it. That didn't happen with Wonder Woman.

Like Patty Jenkins, who's the director of Monster, with Charlize Theron about the serial killer. Do you remember that movie? We got that and now we got Wonder Woman. It's one extreme with Patty Jenkins and she's really a job with this movie.

I thought the pacing in this movie was maybe a little askew at times. There was a lot of explaining to do and there were a lot of times where the movie was very slow, but that was okay because those moments were rich with characters and character development. It didn't take up, saying it took up time very well, it kind of sounds kind of sounding, but it took up the time very well. She got to know these characters very well.

She got to know the world very well. In the 1920s, 1930s, and World War I, she was in a world out of her own and everything's gray, everything's dark and trying to figure out what to do. She's also internally and externally conflicted because she knows she's on a mission. Without giving way too much, she knows that she's on a specific mission and that's her MO.

That's it. Steve Trevor and Company help her along the way and it makes for a very great movie. It makes for a very good movie. Once things pick up, it's a great movie.

Even the choreography and that movie is insane. Oh yeah, when it picks up it never stops. I was saying one more thing. I can't trust you.

I just thought that much. The red jacket of the Captain Boomerang jacket he wears. That was 65 dollars of money that Suicide Squad officially has on them. I can't say that much wrong about them.

Mostly about the extended cut. At least it wasn't Will Smith's Wauval West jacket. Yeah. I didn't go that far.

I mean, I definitely did buy the Jai Court and Captain Boomerang jacket, so I can't trash it that much. But now Wonder Woman, the best way to describe it is, it's a good combination of three movies that are okay in their own right, but when I say these three movies say they're a good combination of these three, it's ridiculous. So obviously, they're all three Disney movies technically if you want to be that specific, It's the first or movie that came out in 2011. The Captain America, the first Avenger, which I believe came out the same year in 2011.

I think it was more late July and or came out like May or something like really, really. Yeah, Thor came out first and then Captain. The Captain America was the last movie to launch until Avengers. Yeah, the last day was after the last.

So I just remember that they came out in the same year, which is like, because I saw Thor so late and I saw Captain America on the day came out. So it was like I saw Thor and Captain America at the same time that year. And also a little bit of sprinkles of Pocahontas too, which when she goes to England, like, you know, how Johnson is once there there and Pocahontas. And now she's like, Oh, why'd I didn't, why'd I didn't what's going on here?

What's this one of these days is not like the other? Pretty much like, it's a good combination of those three movies. And like, how can you make a movie that's about a warrior in the world in the early 1900s who also fish out of water in England, but also has his mystical magical properties to it. Yeah.

What I liked about how Thor was like, this is more science. The, I thought they're going to completely get away with magic as a fuck magic. Sorry for the language, by the way, but they didn't essentially like they just said it's science. Yes, it's just science that we don't understand.

But yeah, magic is now real. It's like, like, make it your mind. Yeah. And Suicide Squad to their own credit, they at least try to introduce magic right away in the DC universe.

They did a poor job of it. Yeah, they played around it a little bit. It wasn't it wasn't introduction is still true. It's actually outstanding, but they played around with it a little bit.

Yeah, but like the thing that they go back to one of them and they just say, yeah, magic is totally real. When you see your PBS, it's real. Suicide Squad shows. Yeah, magic is totally real.

Like I like how they have three other four movies, at least incorporate magic already. And they're like, yeah, magic is totally gonna happen in the DC universe. We're not gonna shy away from it. I like how a lot of things just didn't.

Overstay the welcome like a whole like a lot of my problems with Captain America and Thor specifically completely got like satisfied and Wonder Woman like the problems that you have with Thor pretty much like the overbearing father and Odin like sure he was teaching Thor a lesson. But like it was like that was like 90% of Odin's lines was let's teach the world lesson kind of thing without Palata and Diana when she's about to leave. I'm sorry. She's gonna leave the island.

I mean, obviously, whole movie doesn't take place on that island. Right. So not even a spoiler there. You see that she's nowhere on the island in half the movie in the trailers by themselves.

So when she's overbearing, it doesn't last long. And she's like, I don't want you to train. And then like after pretty very easy convincing with the with her sister. It's like, yeah, trainer.

Yeah, she's like straining right away. Because he understands like it's important for her to do that. And then like they're on the island. Steve Trevor's there.

And like again, doesn't over say they're welcome. He's there for maybe about good 10, 20, 30 minutes. Maybe I don't really remember. It was just so much fun.

I was losing track of the runtime and stuff. But let's say maybe the first half hour, 45 minutes, maybe to about an hour at the most was all on Themyscira and then over say it's welcome. Like Themyscira didn't grow old because whenever Thor went back to Asgard and stuff like I'm like, oh, God, we're back here again. Like even though it wasn't that long in Asgard or something like that.

What about Captain America? So Captain America, there's basically way too much origin story in that whole montage of like the bad Astery with him and the Colin commandos. That was probably the best thing in the movie, but it was just a montage. It wasn't like we're going on a mission.

We're seeing a liberation happening and wonder woman, you see them liberate a small town. And sure, it's no big feat, but it was still like everything I wanted to see in the first adventure when they got the team together. And she was tearing up the town by herself. Yeah, it was so amazing.

I wanted to see more of that, not just like seeing and then oh boy, now we're in another complex. Now we're in another complex like sure. It seemed like one big scene. She was dropping bodies left and right.

Just van after man after man. It was amazing. Taking people apart. It's all on dudes against the walls.

Don't like the ragdaws. It was awesome. I think Captain America, the first Avengers should have done but not in a montage. I feel like this is a little bit different.

I feel like you can't necessarily compare the two simply because of the fact that I mean one's DC and one's Marvel. I understand that one's a man and one's but inspiration from it. Steve Rogers was given power. Diana Prince was born with power and she had to learn how to harness it.

Oh yeah, absolutely. I'm just trying to say like the fight scenes. Overall, the decisions of the other. The reality of the actual film.

Yeah, like honestly Captain America, the first Avengers is one of my favorite Marvel films. Still like Winter Soldier is my absolute all time favorite still. Spider-Man better beat it because I'm tired of having this movie. A so far, the critics said that Spider-Man was good.

I hope so. I hope it's a very good movie to its credit has never been bad. No, every single Captain America movie's been great. And hopefully every single Wonder Woman movie is going to be great because this one was awesome.

It was fantastic. And there is a sequel that is announced and I hope it's awesome. It should be awesome. I hope it's really, really good.

Me too. The overall thing I love how Gal Gadot really stole my heart with Wonder Woman. Yeah, she did a really good job as Wonder Woman. I didn't get to get her back in like the BBS when they're announcing like this is gonna be Wonder Woman.

I'm like I got like that whole like really. She's a model. I don't really believe that but now she's it was she did a really, really good job. She did a really, really good job.

I was the biggest Wonder Woman stickler ever. I love you sweetie but I'm just letting you know like she is picky about her Wonder Woman. Like I am about my Batman but when I saw Ben Affleck first announced I'm like no, no. And then I did a great job.

I liked Ben Affleck as Daredevil and it wasn't his fault that that movie was- You're not gonna have anyone watch her video if you just said that now. It's not his fault that that movie was horribly written but he, Ben Affleck himself did a very good job portraying Matt Murdock. Oh yeah, I definitely like the new guy who does but like when I first saw him be Batman I'm like oh he's Daredevil and like I just knew that even though he was good as Daredevil Daredevil was a bad movie no matter who he got to play it so I'm like oh no is Ben Affleck just gonna have another movie like that and unfortunately critically he did like he was a great Batman. He was part of my favorite live action Batman to date and that's like saying Michael Keaton in the like in the legacy of it and Adam West who got rest his soul and such like that.

But you know still like I thought I came in with that expectation that Ben Affleck's gonna be bad and he was the best part of Batman v Superman and then Gogadot kicked ass for like 10 seconds and won in the Batman for you v Superman and then to see her get a whole movie and just have her that whole badassery in the last movie just translate over into this movie but a whole movie dedicated to that ass kicking she is she is Wonder Woman. I'm like she is Wonder Woman. You know she has my girlfriend just say like yeah she's Wonder Woman I got her Wonder Woman like Barbie doll and she said it was so great like it looks just like Wonder Woman it looks like Algadot and like this is Wonder Woman now it looks like Wonder Woman and she said I hated her when I first saw that picture like the first teaser of her in B.C. yeah and then to see her like in that movie and she went to go see the movie and she's like I cried so many times it was just a beautiful beautiful beautiful movie and yeah like you don't get that you get that when certain heroes happen like I think Robert Dine Jr.'s Iron man I think Chris Evans is Captain America I think Prince Hemsworth's a really good Thor he's a little too jokey for me but I don't really feel a star with Joe Hansen's Black Widow I don't feel like that uh who's a guy who plays Hawkeye I feel so bad Jeremy Renner I'll come to you it came to me pretty fast like I think and I think the guy who plays Black Panther he's Black Panther yeah all the Spider-Man in their own right heaven Spider-Man but I really like the new guy oh god Tom Tom Holland Tom Holland I get first names I don't get last names that often but even there their character but like when you see Gal Gadot like oh god yeah she is Wonder Woman like suicide squad like I can see Will Smith being deadshot but he's not deadshot like I don't think he's a great deadshot like I feel like this movie was kind of a test drive to see how those heroes and that cast would kind of mend together and hopefully they'll get it right the next time because they are confirmed for a sequel regardless of how much you didn't like suicide squad they are trying again but they learn from their mistakes which is what I hope she does because honestly I'm not saying DC make bad movies because their cartoon movies are awesome oh yeah but uh this Wonder Woman movie was awesome from start to finish I highly recommend it for all family of all ages it was it was it was appropriate for all ages like there's a message to be heard through this movie oh yeah like women are powerful like just because you're not only that but you're like inferiority and itself if you make someone else feel inferior so you're afraid to show your true strength so you shouldn't be afraid of your own strength you know what I mean it was it was definitely it really spoke echoes like to not even go into the whole like feminist movement or anything about that like it's a good movie it's Wonder Woman being Wonder Woman not afraid to be Wonder Woman which is what I was my biggest here going into it was like oh god who is this Wonder Woman gonna be and a lot of is she gonna speak way too much about women empowerment is she gonna speak no she cared about everyone she cared about the world she was compassion which is what she's supposed to be she is the living embodiment of compassion and writers for 70 plus years have gotten it wrong every year the creator oh man his name escapes me but he was ahead of his time he also created the light detector that's very interesting yeah like that's a gentleman who created Wonder Woman invented the light detector his name was William Multon Marchton he's also the creator of the light detector so interesting and he died like five years after he created Wonder Woman that's really interesting too so fun fact that he died five years after he created Wonder Woman but at the end of the day Wonder Woman was fantastic it's the savior to the critical movement of the DC universe I'm really excited for Justice League I'm way way thinking they're finally learning a hundred mistakes they're gonna be a little bit more fun I'm excited to see Aquaman in the film I'm excited to see him too he looks amazing yeah like when you when you do Aquaman right the movie's gonna be fantastic like because Aquaman's goofy but when you make him badass you make him badass and there's nothing wrong with that I agree he's a gentleman who played Conan the new Conan and that Conan movie was okay it wasn't the best Conan movie I still prefer the original large warchnanger but got his really a job he also was also Cal Drogo and Game of Thrones oh yeah he really he's a beefy dude who knows how to like he's a beefy dude I also I believe he's also cast as the crow I also believe he's gonna be making the crow again yes oh no we'll see I don't know how to feel about that we'll see we'll see no just look you can't look at some things you should show the first cast here's a little fun fact the first cast to be the first cast after Brandon Lee to be um the crow was Bradley Cooper for a reboot and then Luke Evans was supposed to be the crow and he dropped out and he did you know he was Gaston abusing beast and um now they have uh what's his name Jason Mamua oh Jason Mamua yeah he's gonna he's gonna be the crow and Aquaman but I'm not buying I'm not people are gonna hate me for this he did very well in perks of being a wallflower and fantastic beast and where to find them I don't I'm not buying Ezra Miller as the flash I'm not gonna give him the benefit of the doubt I'm gonna yeah I am too but I just yeah well he's a great actor but I he's an awesome actor but I feel like he's not very I feel like I don't know if you know you guys spoiled like spoiled us and I like he's I think like he's the flash like that guy I know a lot of people do say that a lot of people like no that's not the flash this is the flash well given the benefit of the doubt like let's support the multi-first yeah because Jeff Don's all that stuff like he said arrow versus over here DC and extended universe over here give him separate and we'll have fun you can like the arrow versus for these reasons you can like DC universe for these reasons and I do I don't like the arrow versus for many reasons and I won't go into that right now but overall I would give the Wonder Woman since they're doing stars you want to stars and you want to do it out of 10 how about all the above okay so for out of 10 rating I think Wonder Woman was definitely a solid 8.7 out of 10 yeah it was good in 8.5 too it was fantastic it was a fantastic movie a good good installment to the DC universe it saved a lot of things critically it didn't rely on special effects it was definitely showing a badass woman being badass just for just being badass to actually help people you you said it perfect this movie is liberating this movie is quite liberating absolutely this movie is liberating for everybody you get you get a you get a sense of relief after you watch this I wanted to put a skirt on and go like I'm like Germans I mean I got pretty like I had much I had much more love for my mother walking out of the movie theater let's just say that and I had my girlfriend with me in the movie theater so it was a good time it was a good time yeah and just just I grew up watching girls like Wonder Woman and you know I was a big fan of Sailor Moon and you know Powerpuff Girls and Zina especially I love Lucy Lollis she was my first Wonder Woman like I used to pretend that she was Wonder Woman but just without Wonder Woman oh fun fact Lucy Lollis actually did the voice work for Wonder Woman in DC the Justle New Frontier animated movie I have the book I haven't read I haven't seen the movie do you want to borrow it I'll bring it next week if you want to borrow it that works that's awesome she is Wonder Woman I got my wish yeah yeah I got my wish I didn't even know but um yeah I always wanted Lucy Lollis to be Wonder Woman and now you know years later it was just within the 90s years later um Gal Gadot just just took it away she just ran with it and now she's Wonder Woman and I'm excited to see Wonder Woman too I'm trying to see what the installment is next I'm excited for everything that she's appearing in like yeah I know they're reworking her contract because she says she was only good for like two or three more movies I'm like oh she's which isn't fair because she stole the show oh she's reworking her contract so yeah I can see that she's gonna be probably one of the best parts of Justice League even as she comes back all Jesus like yo on facts yeah you're gonna be Kryptonian son Mike Jobs I'm here itches he does the biggest Mike Job ever he's still not gonna steal a show like Wonder Woman will probably I think Justice is gonna be great in that regard this is the DC EU it it I have my hopes up Henry Cav is a great 75% of them have the Alito is not yeah Gal Gadot has been a great Wonder Woman I'm sorry guys I you know I know you guys want to throw tomatoes at me right now I haven't seen BDS yet but I will get around to it and we will do a review for it so yeah I can do a retrospective I might actually rewatch it just for fun I might watch both of us the same day so as we go we have to close to close we have a couple more things we want to talk about for the next episode so if you are an in humans man and there are probably seven of you in the world that are the in human show is actually coming out tomorrow Thursday the 29th at seven Eastern times I think it's six o'clock our time so we work on Central Time folks so I think it's six o'clock our time so if you want to watch any humans which I believe I now have to because I believe we're gonna do a review of it just to see how it is like I'm not a big in humans man but I've read a little bit of humans the only main guy I know is black bolt I mean that's the only guy and that's the only guy he's so unique looking you can't you obviously can recognize his story is interesting I mean I could give you a little bit of um just a very very little he's got a superpower um I mean he can fly his supersonics yeah he can he can he can fly you know he's got super strength though he can actually I think he can manipulate electricity as well or lightning or something like that he's got way too many powers but his main superpower is the decimal level of his voice so if he so much his whispers I believe he could destroy a planet he destroyed a city with a whisper yeah he destroyed a city with a whisper he accidentally killed his family with a whisper um no he's cries oh it's his prize okay so at a whisper he can destroy it he has like a neural thingy and it's like throat no kind of like let's him control it but at like if he could see if he screams at you like the entire world can be destroyed he's screaming at the Hulk he screamed at the Hulk he flies back so if you can make the Hulk like back up a little bit like that's pretty impressive in my eyes but I'm not really that big of a fan of the humans but I'll give it a shot because you know I need more superheroes in my life and let's get as many superheroes on tv as we can because I think the ghostwriter guy looked cool the new ghostwriter in an agency shield I just saw pictures of him he looked cool so I'll give in humans a fair shot but what I'm really excited for is an HBO talk about the watchman oh yeah they're talking about putting the watch when they're making a show on HBO all right now are they gonna start it are they gonna it's gonna be a complete reboot I have no clue they're still talking about are they gonna go you know from the first comedian where he wore the yellow jumpsuit I'm gonna go as far that would be really cool I don't know they're still talking about it I believe that there's supposed whenever game of thrones is over which is in two seasons nine out of one so expector one yeah whenever game of thrones over I think I have two more seasons right again with thrones on yes so whenever that's over it's supposed to take over that okay so like it we still got at least two years at the most or at the least to see if we got anything you might have some more things dropping because I hear that they're talking to people who want to start the project now but in the meantime we have no clue if we're actually doing anything it's just basically all talks but within a week hopefully that'll change but anyway we can just have some speculation of what we would like to see and we can come with our own little list and stuff and say oh I want this this and this in my watch and show and you'd be like no I want this this and that you know just whatever we demand too much it's no longer creative so we'll see in a way yes but it depends on how much you want to go because I would love it to go from 1940 to 1985 like I feel like you can stretch that out for at least a good 13 episode thing like maybe have half of it be the 1940s crew and then that would be really cool I do like watch them for six episodes and watch them develop as the decades go on watch the struggles as the decades go on I'd like to see if they would parallel the black freighter with it too because they didn't they didn't in the theatrical release but they released an extended director's cut and Gerard Butler voiced the captain of the black freighter as it was paralleling the story of watchmen as it unfolded so that was pretty cool I think if they did they would have to like and I also had to tell us before they just do right they had a mountain on a post like okay for this because if they do multiple seasons I would love to do it like a whole season of 1940s to like Vietnam and then like Kine Act to 1985 yeah when it actually takes place in the second season I would love that like that would be nice I really give it all the time in the world it needs because so if you are interested in the new HBO watchmen I do have some things to recommend some reading besides obviously the watchmen right before watchmen which is that really recent prequels entire series they give you the minute men the silk specter night owl watch I'm sorry document hat and comedian and war shack I think I got them all oh yeah asymandias whoops oh yeah of course so they have those in like prequels comics like what they did before the watchmen obviously you kind of know through backstory but they got a little bit more detail about it and it's a really cool narrative people didn't like them that much because like oh you're taking Alan Moore's work and just throwing it away like absolutely Alan Moore's lost his mind by now he's he's he's Alan Moore was awesome is awesome but he's he's he's crazy now he's gone he's far gone he have you saved anymore we're gonna see him on like BBC's dancing with stars pretty soon I would vote for him every time even if he got kicked off like the first two episodes I'd still vote for Alan Moore to come back I think he's he's retired from comic book writing and he's like I permit now he just lives somewhere randomly I don't even know where I think he lives in a cave I don't care he's cool but he's not like everyone loves him but he hates us all like it's like I love an Emmanuel hates us it's like a weird relationship yeah so anyway I recommend the before watchmen stuff this week just for comic books and stuff and anything Wonder Woman in terms of that I recommend Wonder Woman Year one but I also recommend the old school stuff so if you ever actually find a way to get the old 1940 stuff which is essentially what Wonder Woman is really based off of also I think you want to talk about Trinity a little bit for that recommended reading yeah Trinity is when you hear Trinity in DC Comics it's basically a team comprised of Batman Superman and Wonder Woman and the very first Trinity was Batman Wonder Woman and Superman they're out to stop Ray Shagul he's out to do some evil deed without giving too much away and he actually resurrects Bizarro so some pretty cool fights in that read that's a really good story another good story with Wonder Woman in it is Batman Superman Supergirl and that's basically that's basically when Supergirl comes and they reintroduce Supergirl she comes flying in and Batman finds her so then Supergirl and Superman basically kind of go they grow up together and events take place where now she's being trained by Wonder Woman so it's pretty interesting she's being trained by Amazon and on Themyscira from Amazonian you know Warrior Princesses or the Warrior Princess Amazonian Princesses you know right so that's some good stuff it's a good read Wonder Woman's also very powerful in that yeah there's usually nowadays the stuff with Wonder Woman in it or usually when she's teaming up in my opinion usually when she's supporting or is getting support so yeah that's some pretty stuff with Wonder Woman to read in it it's a very rare occasion when you get something good with Wonder Woman but those are some really good examples Trinity I love Trinity I've read it a million times it flows like how um a Paul Deeney episode of Batman and Superman cartoon would go it feels like that but like with Wonder Woman added to it it felt like that flow like if you reread it and you watch World Spinus again and then read that it seems like it's like World Spinus again but with Wonder Woman being like a new person it's really cool like how that parallel just feels for folks who don't know what we're talking about World Spinus is another Batman Superman collaboration and it's also very very very good stuff so absolutely like it's just it's a lot of good stuff out there Wonder Woman is a really slippery slope to read so like I would not say like oh what we is is the word of god or anything when it comes to Wonder Woman comments but we're the closest we got to it right because it's really hard to write something that good but definitely go see this movie because it's another one of those really few examples was a beautiful example of a great character who doesn't deserve as much poor writing as she does and injustice too is definitely the worst inversion of her like I found the video I found the worst interpretation of Wonder Woman and I just found the best interpretation of Wonder Woman which one extreme or the other huh it's it's both in 2017 Gal Gadol's Wonder Woman is the best Wonder Woman and injustice too Wonder Woman is the worst the worst Wonder Woman and I'm saying it's over all Star Batman and Robin's super crazy feminist Nazi Wonder Woman she's like top five worst Wonder Woman but injustice to Wonder Woman is still by far like she's like a murderous psychopath like just watch the cutscenes of injustice too and report back to me and to say oh my god but yeah so that's all we have for today guys we reviewed Wonder Woman which I gave 8.7, 8.7, out of 10 so let's just say 8.5 is a nice evenish number out of 10 for it was fantastic it was good in realign effects I just didn't like one thing and I'll close out with that she didn't really explain why she just turned her back on Man's World which I'm a little mad about Man's deal now because like where was Diana during Man's deal you saw Bruce Wayne running through the rubble in the first scene of a Bannabe Superman and he's Bruce Wayne he's not Batman anything he's Bruce Wayne like running as fast as old Ben Affleck and carry himself and he saves people his Bruce Wayne so what's Wonder Woman doing like just sitting on a big somewhere reading the book just all like just felt like I wanted like the best thing is this guy I saw this meme it was like swear you know like when he cuts those sunglasses up and puts them away with a little reflective thing like that said like Wonder Woman, Duram and Steel I'm like that's probably the best interpretation of it is just he doesn't care enough but like anyway like that's why I only complain about it everything else was fantastic and I will close out with a funny joke during a really sad part like probably the sad part of the movie if you can figure out like at the end she's like there's like a wall of photos and she's like putting a hand on that wall of photos you know the crema ate the ones who died in the war and like she put her hand there and this old black guy behind me I'm not trying to be mean or anything but that he was an old black guy he was an old black man and he just looked he had it in the black is like what's here typical before it's like oh damn he got sausage fingers when I was about to cry my eyes out it turned into complete laughter wow just roar and all my friends heard it we're all trying not to laugh because everyone's sad in the movie at the time and this guy only said it loud enough for his friends around him to hear and us wow people like on our sides and hear it just us and the guy behind the people behind us obviously and I am just dying I'm like I'm trying to cry I'm trying to laugh at the same time it wouldn't happen so I'm just like convulsing in my seat so I think if anything's better to leave off on that then I don't know what it is if I was just convulsing with laughter and sadness at the same time about Wonder Woman hopefully you don't have someone to say I don't think they want to end on Wonder Woman's Sausage's fingers she has beautiful fingers don't let them let them tell you otherwise like don't let that old black man say you have sausage fingers but yeah so we will be back next week to talk about HBO's Watchmen's speculations a review of the Pilot for humans gonna be prepared for that one you gotta fight the bullet on that I got super intoxicate myself and then detox myself so fast and also since it'll be the thing we're gonna decide whether or not you're gonna need a six pack in order to watch that show or not even waste your time oh yeah oh yeah yeah oh no no it's it's it's a ABC so it's free don't have to pay for it's just talking about beer oh you've never never wasted money on beer and since it'll be the 5th of July it'll also be a nice preview of Spider-Man Homecoming so we'll be looking forward to that as well we can analyze the trailers and say what's it gonna be good about we can read uh the new trade like you know like speculation that reviews and stuff so we'll be looking forward to that so it'll be HBO Watchmen in humans review still hard to say that without cringing a little bit cringing a little bit just my eye just twitched a little bit and Spider-Man will be coming out a little bit sooner after that yeah the seven so like the fifth will be our preview of it all to see if we're excited for it or not so we'll see you guys in a week so like subscribe and tell your friends the Iron Den
