I didn't even realize it was Friday 13th till you brought it up Yeah, I get paid every Friday. So I got paid last week and like you always go by seven like oh wait Friday 13 always in October I've realized the last couple Friday the 13th. I've always been in October Yeah, for the past couple Fridays We've been talking about you know Marvel and DC and who's better and what not for the shows and Netflix and when that's probably getting tired Some when it comes to comparing them. Yes, we're gonna compare them one more time but a different form Really not really I wouldn't be able to talk about video games superheroes and video games today folks So superheroes the latest superhero video games are out are Marvel versus Capcom infinite and injustice too And you know let you take away on those well for starters I want to talk about injustice to a little bit more since it not only came out first But it's also the one I like of the two because I wanted to get you know a little like happy first before I completely tear Infinite a new one because it deserves to be torn all the new ones so Injustice 2 came out in May of this year May 11th to be exact It was developed by another realm studios who are very famous for the Mortal Kombat series exactly They've been around since the mid to late early 90s right with the first Mortal Kombat Yeah mid to late 90s and then they've been popular ever since then there's a reason that a video game rating system is actually a thing I remember that there was there was no such thing as like what is what and like more combat came around like we need to rate these games because that fighting game was so brutal yeah, I mean it still kind of is like it's very gruesome It was technology and unreal engine and other realm studios.
They're just able to up the ante on their gruesomeness in the core So I mean like sometimes when I played Mortal Kombat 10 I just had a like I couldn't even look at it. I look away from the screen when I did somebody's fatalities like some of those are just bad I I it's been a while since I'm not a big nether realm fan studio fighting game I was when I was younger like for the PlayStation 2 you know Mortal Kombat deadly alliance deception and then what killed it for me was Armageddon Armageddon was awful I killed it for a lot of people. Yeah, so Armageddon was God awful then after that. I was like alright And other realm never again no more.
I'm good. So I was always kind of the opposite I never liked them when I was a kid but I started liking them now Mm-hmm I think it was just cuz uh text played really well like it was still kind of like a stiff gameplay that some people don't like Mm-hmm, but it was ten times more fluid than any other Mortal Kombat games in the past. So I was like this is kind of new to me like a new engine is up It started for X and I'm like this is amazing Okay, and I liked it a lot and I was actually good at it Which was a big thing for me because I'm terrible at those games But I seemed like I picked up X and within like two or three matches I was like flawlessly victory my friend who had this game for like months So how would injustice to fair against Mortal Kombat X? It's better.
Okay, it's better It plays even better than X because I can go back to X and like this is a lot stiffer than injustice to like a justice D was a lot more fluid and basically if you're not really familiar with fighting games Basically if you press a button and it actually works and you can press multiple buttons like if you're not good at any Just press square like three times you'll be well rewarded a lot more with another round games If you just keep mashing that same button a couple times It's mass what gamers would like to call mash friendly if you're just putting in buttons on the controller and you don't know what to do Yeah, they're absolutely more like they're more like entry level friendly Mm-hmm games like Capcom if you don't know anything like the lights the mediums and the heavy of each button Right in a punch you're just kind of flailing your arms a little bit And it looks kind of silly and that's just how the old cap that's how Capcom just operates and they do a good job But we'll get to that in a little bit SNK arc systems Neo Geo You know, they're all kind of yeah Now they're almost kind of like they're very separate from that kind of thing So if you mash square you mash a certain button I'm talking like squares and something I have a playstation I only use my playstation I have a PlayStation as well so like for the Xbox guys you'll press X the blue one whatever that one is a blue color a couple times X A B Y I still remember RB LB left your I have an Xbox 360 in my house I haven't turned on in like almost a year now since I got my playstation So it's like I forgot what the colors were for that one and it's like when I was like when I was a kid I had an Xbox and I wanted to play on the PlayStation like mash X like why are you mashing that like when I'm like Oh, because X square and X is a and it's like that's weird Yep, but anyway, so anyway I heard in justice too. It's a lot better than X So if you wanted to play a game that's a really friendly to new players I recommend picking up in justice to especially since if you like DC characters, which who doesn't you got your Batman? You got your Superman and it's a lot better than the last injustice game which came out in 2011 I enjoyed that game until it got repetitive and boring over and over and over and over again That was my problem with Mortal Kombat 9 for the Xbox 360. Yeah, and yeah I mean, but I mean they were fun for a few minutes, but I mean we talked about this earlier I mean in justice one didn't age well It looks really bad Like you look at this other superhero game that came out in the same year 2011 That was Arkham City.
Yeah, Arkham City looks amazing for 2011 Like I got the recondition version that just came out last year Right and he doesn't prove upon the graphics only it had but I mean I look at the old version and it still looks really good And that's like a six-year-old game and injustice to let me just as one I'm sorry as soon as that game like reached a year or two like and this game looks bad Like it looks like 2007 bad like it was like sure 2007 was good for 2007, but not anymore. So yeah Injustice one in an age well the roster was really heavy on Batman characters Which this one kind of is but I don't know It's just not as bad as the first game the roster for DLC was also kind of weird It had more Batman characters and then randomly scorpion who was not good in that game at all Like I played him like how do you even play a scorpion? How can you mess up your your main character now the realm like I just got mad that game I just can't believe through to the side so when injustice to came out I was immediately skeptical, but it looked better the roster was already like oh, this is cool And then I think I got kind of on board when they released deadshot right like whenever he came out I'm like, oh, I like deadshot a lot like I always preferred him over a desk stroke because to him He was always slayed in the Teen Titans TV show right so it's like when he was in the game I he was like he was basically zoner the characters So he just shot you with projectile after projectile people hated him and then when that shot came out He's essentially the same thing, but I don't know I like that shot cuz I got the whole cuz the overall motif of the wrist launchers and stuff It's always so cool and then you know more characters came out there were interesting like Bane then Scarecrow There's 38 characters on this roster and that's not even including the DLC or the downloadable characters. Oh for a justice to you right now Right.
Yeah, it's a big roster a lot of nice new returning characters The the LC characters which are actually nine and if you include the pre-order bonus for dark side 40 characters so far Yeah, and who's and they might have another plan for another nine who knows because this game is doing really well It plays well the character the graphics look really good Like this game is like so good to look at especially with some of the more like creepy looking characters Like if you're seeing how Swamp King looks in game he looks beautiful. I don't like Swamp thing Oh, they have characters for different skins So for those of you who don't know skins on a fighting game character Just mean a different color a different costume quite literally a different skin So if you get different skins or if you get different skins for different characters in this video game You can actually play as Bizarro as a skin for Superman for a green lantern You can play actually as John Stewart's Green Lantern is African American Green Lantern, which is awesome It's personally my my personal favorite green lantern pretty cool. He's up there for me. He's like number two Mine's actually Alan Scott the age one with that big opera tape that is he's a really really cool looking I like how you like Batman with a power ring you also gets Mr.
Freeze for Captain Cold and Just recently when Raiden came out the other Mortal Kombat DLC character you got black lightning who they're really pushing recently They're getting like black lightning TV show on CW and now he's coming out as a promotion It's like wow, they're really pushing this guy like I'm not mad But I just kind of realized they're really pushing black lightning lately He's one of two characters who can control or manipulate electricity the other one is static shock Yeah, people were like really bomb that he's not in it Like I understand because I like static but like everybody left static remember the show growing up Yeah, I mean but like black lightning school too. It's like oh yeah the grown up kind of static talking right so this game Receipt was received really well. I think nobody is always good Yeah, it's always good like the average score is like nine times at 10s eight times Like this is this game is not received poorly the thing that I wanted also mentioned that is really unique about this game I introduced gear like what you said about the premier skins about actually changing the appearance What they also has like you can actually customize characters like you can have Batman look like anything you make What Batman beyond you can make all that's cool to me gonna sub Batman Yeah, you can have individual pieces though like you can actually do things they also alters gameplay and all through sad So they could be really yeah, like so I have I usually go for strength in like defense with my characters Okay, so like I have my bizarro that don't play super I don't care about Seriously when I agree I like bizarro myself I personally like super girl I think I like super girl and super boy. I think super girl is far physically superior then Superman and super boy There's that conflict of who am I but I was like how you just wore the black shirt and the jeans Yeah, just straight up like it's like the hobo the super hero I was like I was like bizarro because he has like the ice vision and fire breath is a reverse and they put that in for the skin Like superman has heat vision but like when bizarre shoes I think it's cool cool and like instead of being frozen and state like how it like he uses his ice breath He uses like the fire breath, but it's like they're kind of like still paralyzed around fire frozen So it's like there's still better not really changing the character.
They're just changing the appearance And I think that's amazing. It's really cool attention to detail. They're kind of flapping the techniques a little bit That's cool But also like the thing about the deal about the gear piece of the individual pieces that actually change stats I can make bizarro basically like have so much defense like okay super move us like this is much healthy Like now even like 10% of his health marks gone and bane because his trade is like he has his traits I think their own specific power He has venom and he gets stronger like per layer of venom and I already have like I like 4,000 strength I can punch you once and like half your health marks gone in one punch scary. It's crazy Like obviously they don't do it for online or for tournaments But like the fact that my friends are like if everything's broken nothing's broken Cuz I have super if I bizarro like I'm like 3,000 defense and 4,000 punch It's like a normal punch, but it's like everyone's just so beefed up and powerful in my account But the characters I play obviously if my friends are like what about Aquaman like I don't play Aquaman man Like I know he's really good in this game, but like I don't care about Aquaman I play a scarecrow bane Red Hood sub-zero and like that's pretty much it any dead shot to I completely ignored my main main character So needless to say nether rounds in WB have done justice to injustice would you agree?
Oh, they've done a great job and I have even scratched the surface specifically the DLC that they've done right you can pay about $90 for the deluxe edition and that's a pretty penny and yeah But what you got especially was you got dark side any version you get dark side and he's really cool not my personal play style But he was really fun DLC character, but then you also had access to another nine another nine characters For the next fire pack I have my pack one two and three and they also include the skins like a reverse flash one you mentioned and the Johns do it That also came with the game when I download it on day one Then you also had access to the other nine DLC characters was they actually released within like a month of the game Like the identities of the characters and they had lys rooms really in released each character like one month at a time Which is kind of like showing off the cap down with Street Fighter 5 as they released the characters like really soon And it's like it took almost a year to release all six characters. Yeah, let's not talk about Street Fighter 5 a lot It's not my favorite Street Fighter, but it's still it's kind of like the main one right now and birdies and I'm gonna defend I'll defend Street Fighter 5 more than I'll defend suicide Well, let's put it that way I can't be convinced enough to like Street Fighter 5 my money went towards King of Fighters 14 My money did not go to King of Fighters 14. I don't know I wanted to I wanted to like that game But I like Street Fighter more. Let's just leave it at that But the first fighter pack that came out was Red Hood the vigilante for the second Robin who became murdered by Joker and then came back as a groupless vigilante with guns so our fire from the Teen Titans and Sub-Zero from World Combat like the other poster boy from World Combat if you ask me and those characters are all fun Red Hood's my favorite.
He's got a really neat kind of like gun tonic game play. He's got knives He's got guns. He's got tasers on the ends of his guns So it's like he can hit you like little static. He basically boxes with his guns.
It's kind of fun. That's cool looking Yeah, he's really cool Like I like is like I like how I can make him look like basically how he looks in default But I also mean I look like how he appears in the Arkham series if you know how that looks I actually mean I look really close to that obviously you can't do it exactly because there's some Copyright issues obviously but who cares starfire is kind of my least favorite of the first fighter pack She was really fun But she's really more for like if you really want to learn the game You know nothing about these kind of games starfire is that character you pick up? She's strong. She's fast.
She's got like all moves, but at the same time It's like she's not really like that hard to learn. She's really easy and I'm not a guy who likes those easy characters I mean I prefer the characters that are like they're grapplers You got getting close and you're gonna take a lot more damage before you can actually dish it out yourself Like I play his Bane and he's basically big lumbering dude Right you see him and it's like but when he gets in he gets in well talked about injustice quite a bit So let's move on to go on yet. We're gonna tear it apart. We're only talking about like 15 minutes That's not that much.
I'm just saying like for bang for your buck the characters are really good So zero is great and then black manta if you want to pick up black manta from Aquaman lore, okay He's okay. He's the worst DLC character Raiden the third poster boy from Mortal Kombat He himself was pretty fun. I don't like Raiden character Raiden's character, but I like his gameplay So they also give him the black lightning skin as we mentioned So basically in my own eyes with quotations black lightning was announced and hell boy from Dark Horse got released But he's not really scared might come out sometime in November and Adam was just recently announced So fire factory is slowly getting announced. So probably by the end of the year We'll have at least all nine characters out.
Okay, so personally sorry to talk about it a little bit more I just I'm not ready to rip on infinite right now But I will be in like a couple more minutes. So honestly injustice It was great perfect thing for DC He's a little bit more of a ego boost because they're doing great with their arrow first Even if I don't like it and you don't really like it that much right I cannot be convinced to watch another another season I understand. I mean I'm kind of in that way. I'm trying with the flash That's the only one I'm gonna try I got through the first two seasons of arrow And then I got halfway through the third season.
I couldn't watch it anymore I know I'm trying with flash But that's the only one I'm trying with everything else is like my hope was to I know we're getting off top of it My hope was to watch the arrow series and then jump onto flash because I really wanted to see Legends of tomorrow because I love Hawkerel. I really like Hawkerel She's really good at this show and she was in the legends of tomorrow And I just I feel like if I were to just jump onto legends of DC legends of tomorrow We'll just be kind of I don't know Oh, no, no, don't take the back I watch like not even the first season of arrow and I jumped a flash I got halfway through second season of flash jump to legends tomorrow Never gives a girl. I don't like super girl. I don't like super girl.
I don't watch I have any watch super girl Oh reading super girl watching and no, no, no, no, I'll pass She's not she's not my character. I'll pass like how Superman's not for everybody super girls not for me. Yeah Bizaros I like I kind of like stupid Superman I guess bizarre really is all the reason to read red hood and the outlaws all rebirth I'm at the second volume this week and it's great. So I'm talking about DC DC's been doing great critically great video game And now let's talk about the Marvel's fighting game that just came out.
Yeah, so Marvel's Capcom infinite This game just came out three weeks ago It's only got 30 characters on it and some of these characters aren't even that impressive a long time 2d fighting game fan I used to go to Mexico and play a we I would ask my cousin You know, let's go play the machines. Let's go to the Vamalco. Got a mock you now. Let's go play with the machine So we'd go play Street Fighter and King of Fighters and Fatal Fury in final fight and you know All these infinite amounts of games and Marvel versus Capcom was one of them But Marvel versus Capcom's been out for a very long time since the 90s and they've gone through three of them The third one came out for the Xbox 360 It was called you know, fate of two worlds and this fourth one is just called Marvel versus Capcom infinite and It came out a little bit of the lure of you know, Tekken seven and injustice two and you know with guilty gear Revolate guilty gear revelator to if you're a big fan So, you know the gameplay is very fast.
It's a lot faster than you know You know the realm studios type of video games where you could actually utilize your supers and then you have Ultimate supers which you can cancel into But this game along with Street Fighter 5 in my opinion from Capcom lacks so much depth it lacks so much depth And the problem with this video game is that these characters these 30 characters are returning characters There's nothing to about them. They all look the same and to be quite honest with you the character design of these characters is awful It's atrocious. It looks like something that came out for the PlayStation one on a cover It looks like the design of a cover for the PlayStation one like these these characters look horrible So let's look at the Marvel roster say a black panther and black panthers. He's got his movie coming out So they have to put him in that video And then black widow you know black widow is another DLC character But again, she's very popular Scarlett Johansson I get it, you know, whatever captain America captain America is the poster boy of Marvel comics along with Spider-Man and the X-Men and you can't deny You know that captain America can't be in this game captain Marvel So captain Marvel's new to the Marvel versus Capcom series.
She is brand new. Dr. Strange. He isn't he returned Yes, yes, he was DLC and he was ultimate Marvel versus Capcom 3 Dormammu was Marvel versus Capcom 3.
Yeah, Gamora's new Ghost Rider was in Marvel versus Capcom 3 Ultimate yes, yes, you are as was Hawkeye Hulk's been in every single Marvel versus Capcom to date whether he's green or gray he's Hulk no matter what Iron Man was in most of them not all of them actually the very yes Actually in the very first Marvel versus Capcom war machine started out I'm in a Marvel versus Capcom one I just recently played an arcade it came out and not my old arcade like a bar arcade And I just played the first one for the first time ever I started with two actually my team was with them in war machine And I'm like I can't have anyone else now So Iron Man's Iron Man's in it Nova Nova was in ultimate Marvel versus Capcom 3 rocket raccoon was an ultimate Marvel versus Capcom 3 He's very popular with the kids and whatnot and he's very at least another poster person for Marvel Spider-Man who's been in all of them Thanos who was been in the off shots for Capcom so you know X-Men X-Men versus yeah Marvel versus Capcom 2 It was Batman though X-Men versus Street Fighter, you know or that was actually pocket I'm sorry and Marvel superheroes and Marvel superheroes versus Street Fighter That's he Thor of course, you know, you have to have Thor but he wasn't in all of them He I think he recently was just it was the first verse. Yes. Yep, and Venom who's been in all of them ultra on This is his first time being within three of them was that a three they kicked him out of three right maybe said Well, you're a Venom fan so I am even and then once your soldier once your soldiers knew and the intriguing thing about this is that all the Marvel characters look great All the Marvel characters look outstanding, but then when I jump over to the capcom characters Arthur Arthur's an old character He used to be an assist character You guys are wondering what is an assist character and a fighting game an assist character Is someone where you push a button and they come out and do an attack and they help you for a second And then they weave that's an assist character. They literally assist you so Arthur from the ghosts and ghouls arcade game If you remember that you remember that Ian I played it recently the arcade game Oh my god, it's had a bad bad game.
It's a side-scroller It's a basically a side-scroller Mario Mega Man type video game where you're just in your night in armor Yeah, you're a knight in armor and you literally go out and fight monsters Chris Redfield from the Resident Evil series Chun Lee from Street Fighter Dante from Devil May Cry Firebrand who's actually a villain character who act no one knows who he is He's from ghosting God once he's one of the kind of like sub boss Yeah, he's a sub boss a sub boss a sub boss a sub boss a sub boss a sub boss No, he's not Frank West from Dead Rising. You remember Dead Rising with X-Bass 360 the zombie game. I was actually a lot of fun Jetta Doma from the Darkstalker series Mark Hager from Yeah, I'm sorry Mike Hager. Excuse me from a favorite from muscle bomber and final fight and Was it it it's my muscle muscle bomber and final fight?
That was my masters Morgan Einsland from again from Darkstalkers and then they have a monster hunter character and this monster hunter characters Just monch- if you've ever played monster hunter you just create a character But I guess this is a generalized popular create creation of this character There's a new game coming out in Japan. They wanted to cross promote it right That's big in Japan. I'm a monster hunter huge I have a cousin who put at least 850 hours in a monster hunter I'm not that and that's a handheld. That's a handheld.
It's not a console series yet They tried it for the PlayStation 2 and it failed because they used the the combat system for the joystick the joystick combat system and that was not so good Yeah, so I'm not sure how the world's coming out sometime next year, right? Which looks good that game actually pretty good, but nemesis from Resident Evil nemesis Nathan Spencer from the Bionic commando series if you care enough to relaunch I like your relaunch I like how an ultimate marvel they gave him the scene of the original by on commando, which is the superior version honestly And then of course were you from Street Fighter Sigma from the Mega Man X series Which is my favorite X series or Mega Man series rather? It's my favorite Capcom villain is Sigma. Yeah, he's pretty cool I would have to agree strider he'd you from his own video game I believe it's called strider yep, and then there's X Who's basically Mega Man from the Mega Man X series and his partner zero zero was in the last one X has been in almost I'm sorry Mega Man has been in almost all of them not three X has not They replaced them with zero and then they brought in X because I think personally I think it like actually more than original make oh I just superior to Mega Man by far.
I'm not disagreeing with you So I mean you want to break down this roster I don't even want to let's even include DLC because without the DLC I mean this character roster is weak Yeah, that's right for the brand new characters. Yes, they come out on October 17, which is four days or now and here's the thing Here's the big difference between 2d fighting games from you know Capcom or Neo Geo or SNK or our system and other realm studios and WB the pacing so The gameplay for nether realm studios is a little bit clunkier. It's slower It takes time to get used to as does you know Capcom and SNK's type of video games But those games are much more fast-paced and I love fast-paced fighting games like Tekken 7 and you know where you get to juggle people All the time I love canceling specials and super specials and whatnot I just love the secrets and the perseverance you have to go through on this type of 2d fighting game because these games were never easy No, they were never easy. So you always had to you know apply a certain skill and timing to this This is what I liked about these video games.
So they took that away from Marvel versus Capcom Infinite and added it in nether realm studios It's like they kind of just flip-flops their roles. So basically in Marvel versus Capcom Infinite Let's say if you're pulling off a 15 or 20, you know hit combination Which is pretty high the video game will actually cancel it on you physically cancel that combination all you on you while you're in mid combination So they wanted this game to be a little bit more beginner friendly. I appreciate that a hardcore gamer fan would very much not like that At all for someone like my son I'm for someone who's a you know hardcore gamers I mean you got to put the time in you got to play around with it You got to take your legs you got to take your losses you got to find your character You got to practice with that character, you know, and that's just with anything That's just like riding a bike the more you do with the more you get used to it So I want to say like for someone who hasn't played Marover's is Capcom in a very long time I just recently redown loaded ultimate three because they released it for PlayStation so you do like a backwards compatibility for it That's cool And it plays really good Like I was really like at a loss where I'm like man I used to be so good at this game and I'm like I'm so rusty so when I when the infinite demo came out And it was basically like a easy combo was locked on and it basically gave you an automatic easy combo He's mesh square which I didn't appreciate but I'm like at the same time It's like it kind of helped me like actually learn how to do it again when I went back to three for those of you Have no idea what we're talking about so for Marvel versus Capcom in the 90s the very first one When you would go to the character select menu and you would pick your character or characters There would be a sub menu off to the side and it would ask you the speed of what you wanted the game to be played in and the other one Was the butt mechanic so I'm normal and simple normal and simple so normal is you actually put in the commands? You know no problem.
You could actually do it, you know Quarter circle with your joystick and then a punch and then he does a hot open You know so in a simplified game mechanic all you have to do is hit a button Maybe once or twice and he was something awesome which kind of takes the fun out of fighting games in my opinion But it's it's for beginners it's for beginner show I mean like I first someone who was a beginner again when tomorrow versus Capcom I appreciated it and then but everybody's got to start somewhere I know for sure like right at the same time It's like when I went back and I'm like oh I'm doing those really good combos again in three And I wanted to try and see if I can actually right through that mold But it's like when it's locked on easy combo You cannot unlock it with a demo and I didn't appreciate that because like I wanted to fool around and beat up the job Her characters and he gave me right the stupid like oh, I'm just henchmen And I wanted to see some cool combos because it gave me a lot of the characters I used to play right I was excited that our Arthur came back I like ghosting goblins or ghosting ghouls whichever the ghosting ghouls but yes, I like them in three He's actually one of the main characters I play in three It's my team is him Hagar and some other Marvel character like random Marvel character Yeah, that was it but like when they came out I'm like oh cool I could play Arthur and see what you can do I was only stuck doing this easy combo I didn't like it so I just deleted the demo and I'm like I'm not gonna play this game I'm not gonna buy this game and the roster for me is the biggest thing because I've actually played infinite and It plays great the tag system is pretty good the gameplay itself is great I've never really played a two-on-two kind of tag game before like again I just recently played the first Marvel versus Capcom this game plays amazing Which makes me more depressed that everything in this game sucks besides the actual gameplay which everyone can say well They get the game place fine. It should be fine. Yes, and no, but if it doesn't look good Which it doesn't these DLC characters on my screen right here monster hunter black and Sigma those are the best looking characters right now They look fantastic and I'm really mad that they look more fantastic than the actual roster You know what I would argue that they actually put more emphasis on the character designs towards Marvel Over sure then they did for Capcom characters. Did you see how she only looked at either?
That's what I was referencing earlier and when I talked about you know It looking like a PlayStation one cover for a video game. It did not look good at all at all You know King of Fighters 14 you bag on it all you want at least they actually came out with an update to up the Annie on their characters Well, they did which only yes only only shumly. That's Capcom's princess. Why did you make her look bad?
Oh, please? Please don't like it. She is like don't try to be like I understand I thought it was role for the longest time But well not wishy currently is cap right and it's like you made her look horrifying Mm-hmm and it's like now she looks great, but it's like they only worked on her Everyone else don't kind of looks kind of like garbage. There are some characters.
Okay, Jenna looks great He's the only really good looking cap Dante looks awful Dante looks awful and he was one of the best characters and ultimate Marvel Was the cap on three yeah, I like he looks awful and he that's his coolest design too was from a devil McRigh three which is pretty much definitely cry one, but whatever oh yeah, I mean zero and X look okay But I mean they're cartoony so it's like it's not that hard to mess up. Yeah, yeah The marble character to look good, but like some really look bad like um, how can you miss a pulk you can miss a pulk like you Rockin what I could was horrifying though. He looks like a nightmare fuel That's what he looks like I never like rockin raccoon, but and I'm also just really sad because I'm looking at the roster for Marv vs. Capcom 2 which is my personal favorite of the entire series.
I own it I mean I used to own it, but it's too glitchy for me now, so I'm sad 56 playable characters. Yes, and that's what I'm talking about dude And there was a bunch of characters that are so good in this game like I can just tell you I played as every single one of these characters I was bad with almost all of them, but I still gave them a try they were still great and it still holds up to the day I go home and play that after this. You said a little bit. You said a picture I'm finding someone else do I all break loose a stream, but like I see this roster and I look at this even with the 60 LC characters That's 36 characters.
That's not enough for me right now It's not a lot of this kind of game because like I don't I mean I look at this roster screen right now I don't think I have any character I really want to play I mean sure Arthur but I can play him in three Frank West I can play him in three Hagar and play him in three I know and the same thing with the Marvel side means sure all try looks cool He does look cool and I do like the fact I do appreciate the fact that they fused him with Sigma He looks awesome. He looks like one of the coolest sci-fi action figures that I never owned ever He looks awesome, which again makes me sad that this you know what it also doesn't help to that okay street fighter cross Tekken is Another crossover title video game that includes Capcom characters street fighter characters and Bandai Namco characters Tekken characters So they released this video game right and it came out with a specific roster, which wasn't very much It was maybe a handful of characters And then as you can actually put the disc into a computer and look through the files on the computer They actually had codes for other characters down like embedded onto this disc You just couldn't you just couldn't play them so when they came out with the DLC characters Guess what it was all the characters that had codes for on on on the disc on the video game And that has hurt Capcom's reputation over and over and over again now Capcom is known as the Silently not publicly silently to gamers at least is known as the kind of like the the the dry Organization for fighting games when I mean by that is it'll suck you dry It'll take us just trying to take all of your moneys I'm trying to take all your cash. Yeah And Resident Evil 7 was awesome. Yeah, like where's that cap on right?
Resident Evil 7 was awesome. Can we have those people who work on that work on this even though they're completely different John right? Can we have those passion that people work on this game please or you know have Disney Marvel be like old school Marvel because they gave you Everybody now it's like because Marvel Disney doesn't own rights the excellent characters. They can't put them in here anymore They can't I mean they're working on it right now, but that's the LC That's the whole point I'm trying to make like this roster is lazy and here's the best way to describe it This like I like ended like right here with this little little rant I'm gonna do let me just say this before you go on that rant It hurts me that I could not play is Wolverine for the first time in a Marvel versus Capcom title until this year It hurt me it hurt me so bad.
I was like I can't play my favorite anomantium little berserker slasher with Ryu and an X I can't do this It just made me it broke my heart it makes my heart to venom I mean I understand because venom without a three and I'm mad He's a paleo he's a DLC character I'm mad I'm mad I'm gonna buy this game when he's released and mad because I'm gonna buy the crap on this game What's released when he comes out because I want to buy this game now because Black Panther and Sigma and the monster hunter Like it was three on three. That's my team the DLC characters That's my team right now because they're brand new they look cool They play amazing like the trailers and then like all the constant like footage at Capcom since recently put out last week They are the best part of this game the new characters That's part they look good and it just blows my mind that these other 30 characters not one of them looks interesting enough for me to be like Yeah, I'll throw down 60 bucks for this No, not even once like and the fact that I have to pay another $30 on top of that for the DLC characters infuriates me because of all the good stuff Is block behind a $30 paywell and it just makes me mad sure I did wish you fire five But the thing was those characters in a long run were worth it because at least I had fight money Which was like in-game currency so I had to pay zero for some of them as we say in the game world that's Capcom for you Exactly like I'm like osteras on this and people really want osteras rath Yes, people really wanted a lot of characters and they didn't get any no so mad. I don't want to or not I'm back. I really didn't want rocket raccoon back.
I really didn't want Thor. I didn't want Nova I didn't want Gamora. I really didn't want Gamora. I hate the Guardians the Galaxy I'm sorry the movies are okay the characters are stupid Honestly, the only one I want to want this game was our Lord yeah, or drags more star or cuz he's the leader Well drags big green guy with red tattoos to two daggers I know but I mean it's it's you know, what's one more green person to another right?
And it's like and just makes me mad because this game's coming out But the thing I'm really saying is I gave this game a seven out of ten and here's two reasons are the three deductions Yeah, actually I want to talk about that before you got into the rating because I mean moderately this game got some pretty decent reviews Not it wasn't the best fighting game ever I feel like it's amazing That's why they gave this right it's not the best fighting game ever But you know it's got it's got a lot of holes that need to be patched up or they haven't been patched upon release I got shotgunned yeah It's like the wall looks like switch cheese and tomorrow versus Capcom but the gameplay the solid or gameplay is amazing The 2v2 which I'm really unfamiliar with because I only play the 3v3 ones They played around with it for if you guys are familiar with it They played around with it. Excuse me for I Adikaz Street Fighter EX 3 where you could actually fight multiple characters on one screen, which was kind of fun And it works out well like 2v2 so superior to 3v3 like I'll play more of a discount come to a 3 again But like it's not to be too guilty gear a suga was like that as well for the PlayStation 2 And I'm gonna say right now the reason I get in a seven out of ten is because of this this roster is lazy Number one number two somebody thought this was a good idea and didn't even want to fix it and number three the gaming community who bought this Game I've launched you guys are part of the problem because if you guys keep saying that's Capcom for you How about you protest the game? How about you boycott? How about you don't buy it?
Because it's got four sales, but the fact that it has sales to begin with it makes me mad because you're because in a way you're rewarding their laziness Yeah, I mean if I look at the cover I'm looking at the cover of the video game and I'm looking at each character They look like toys. They look bad. They don't even look good. They look like action figures.
They look The best part of this game pretty much these three characters maybe when you know the DLC finally comes out Maybe I'll give it a higher sport. I feel like this year Tekken 7 is the best fighting game title But between the two of these between injustice to and Marvellors cap down at infinite I think we're kind of leaning towards injustice to being superior No contest. Yeah, it blows it out of the water makes me just to say that and there's an issue We shouldn't be saying that because they're two totally different video games They're two totally different video games to totally different companies with you know three or four or five It's totally different crossovers and them between them So what I should say I should have a preference just because of how I like how the game is played right? That's my that's gonna be my preference.
It shouldn't be this game was successful this game cared about its fans. Yes versus this game Looks cheaply made this game looks recycled as all hell. Yeah, it just rushed it rushed the project to come up with a product and Yeah, it should be my preference is a why injustice better than like Marvel versus Capcom infinite It shouldn't be this game is the superior not because of anything But by looks by how it plays by how everything is 99 dollars or injustice to has kept me going for this year It keeps me coming back if I just played this game I even got the decent version without having the DLC for 60 bucks I would have felt like I wasted my money Yeah, and like that's not how I should feel like however Much I should play a game. It should be worth the money that you're paying for exactly And it makes me sad that Marv versus Capcom is like a $20 game, but they're selling for 60 You know what they both ran an unreal engine and which is which is the sad part?
Mm-hmm. Like graphically That's a sad part. They look I mean well, you said Marv versus Capcom infinite plays amazing. I think it's I think it's fluid I think it's solid But again, I noticed the the delay in the combo and I'm I didn't like that I didn't like that at all but again I didn't like how I'm not a fan of how slow pace injustice to is but I mean I can't deny that they actually cared about their fans on this one And they did and you know like I and I'm happy that they did because I'm a DC fan more than a Marvel fan And I love Marvel, but when DC is like you want a better job.
It really brings that you know inner child That means that yeah DC still on top. I'm indifferent so I can't I have my preference. I do too, but that's why I'm indifferent Yeah, but I mean like in terms of video games Marv versus Capcom has always been better at DC's fighting game until now until now And that's not it should be the case 2017 is ruining Capcom Marvel video game that makes me sad so hopefully in 2018 Maybe next year I can say Marv versus the kick I got some good DLC I got good patches. I want to say that and I and I'm still hopeful then six months from now You'll want to buy more of a Well, I would be completely okay with buying it and I think that's the best way to leave off on this like you guys Got six months, you know Do good in six months to cap comment.
I'll buy your game or just buying justice to I waited a whole year for a Street Fighter Five and I thought it was worth it now Yeah, I didn't like Street Fighter I thought Street Fighter four was way better But my favorite Street Fighter Street Fighter 3 third strike and then Street Fighter Alpha 3 my down to it but same order Yeah, and then I'm a real big fan of the ex-series the plus alpha 2 ex-series nostalgic sentimental value Everybody's coming up with their own. Yes. They're own game again That's great. It's got it doesn't have a title for those for people who don't know what we're talking about I do guys a video game company that I mean they've done some Yeah, they've done some projects here and there they worked on Tekken for the 3DS I mean if you care right right right they they worked on a card capture a Sakura stuff But where they were most popular for is joining up with Capcom and making Street Fighter EX Which was Street Fighter in 3D before Street Fighter 4 came out in the 90s So it was actually pretty cool.
It was really cool to see so I mean Arica is coming out with a new video game with its EX characters and Capcom had borrowed a license from Street Fighter characters that came up and gave them permission to use but Areka owned or eka specific characters like Hulk Joe and Kyrie and defector dark and George said Skullomania is a very famous one, but so yeah, I mean in terms of Characters you won't see any Capcom characters in that you'll just see I got EX characters Which makes me so happy and it doesn't even have a title yet and it's still way better than both of these games And it looks yeah, exactly it looks better than both of these games and doesn't even have a name yet And they're so he's a cheap. I think their roster is like 10 as a different dick at roster It's cut there's a beta at the end of this month. I mean I didn't know this year I'm sorry. Yes, and they're gonna early since sometime early in 2018 They're gonna have 10 characters they might add more they said if you know it does well They're gonna sell a cheap-aid said it's just a passion project like why can't more We're gonna be a passion project and justice to is a very expensive passion project, but yeah It's still like why can't these two games be the erica fighting layer Disney and wb To us they need no they need to make money That's why that's why these need to be more than passion projects my man.
Well, we can expect to passion projects So yeah, so anyway superhero video games for 2017 and justice to knocks it out of the ballpark Yes, and Marv versus Kakamint doesn't completely strike out, but it just gets a single and that's not what I want I don't want a base hit I want a home run right and justice to grandslam base it for infinite They helped get the basis for justice and knocking out the park But so anyway next week we're getting closer and closer to Halloween So we might have some Halloween themed episodes coming out Maybe talk about our favorite horror movies if we have any and then maybe we'll talk about some actual ghostly encounters that I've experienced in my Small small lifespan on earth. Oh we can talk about you know some awesome Batman Halloween comics We can do that too long Halloween. I do have a long Halloween. We can talk about that So we'll think about but we'll of course just expect the next two weeks to be Halloween themed so Stay tuned guys.
