She sells projects all around the area but when MIT finds out Riri is expelled.Riri takes her Iron suit that she built with her college grant money and flies it back home to Chicago. But when her expulsion kicks in, Riri is locked out of the AI in the suit, sending it crashing to the ground in the city. Her flight through the city gets the attention of criminal boss The Hood who recruits Riri to his crew with the offer of extensive cash reserves.Before she joins the team, Riri has to fix the AI in her suit. To make a leap in this programming she uses her own brain scans. While the suit charges, Riri falls asleep but she’s rudely awakened hours later by the face of her best friend Natalie.
