I was recently on @AynRandCentreUK 's YouTube channel to discuss physicalism (similar to materialism), which holds that the mind or consciousness is physical rather than non-physical. Physicalism is a dominant view among academic philosophers today, but I wrote a doctoral dissertation that challenges their arguments in support of it.
