Is Everyone Too Scared to Speak with Conviction? And It's NOT Just the Young Generation!

Despite the relative anonymity and distance afforded us by social media, most people are still afraid to speak with conviction. One of my pet peeves is the way people add LOL or a laughing emoji to an otherwise sincere comment because heaven forbid they expose themselves to the risk of rejection or ridicule or disagreement. This has to stop! Teachers and parents should be helping young people learn to be brave with their words, but they're suffering from the same problem. Why are we so weak, and is it too late to do something about it?
