Is Fixed Term Parliament A Good Idea?

On January 13 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi suggested an enactment of the Fixed Term Parliament Act to prevent mid-term changes of the government. Later, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the Cabinet had yet to convene any discussion on this.
