Is Fluoride BAD for You? How Fluoride in Water Impacts Your Thyroid

from Biblical Nutrition Academy Podcast

Is Fluoride Bad for You? The Truth About What's in Your Water   Could something in your tap water be silently damaging your health? In this episode, Annette sits down with Dr. David Brownstein to uncover the truth about fluoride — a chemical added to most public water supplies that may be doing more harm than good.   The Hidden Dangers of Fluoride Exposure   Dr. Brownstein explains how fluoride and bromide — two toxic halides — block iodine absorption in the body. Iodine is essential for brain function, thyroid health, fertility, and metabolism. When fluoride replaces iodine in your tissues, it disrupts your hormones, weakens immunity, and can even increase the risk of cancer. Despite this, the U.S. and New Zealand remain among the few countries still adding fluoride to their water — even though no clear evidence shows it prevents tooth decay.   How Fluoride Competes With Iodine   Fluoride is part of the same chemical family as iodine, but it serves no purpose in the human body. There are no fluoride receptors in your cells — only iodine receptors. When fluoride enters your system, it displaces iodine, leading to deficiency symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, thyroid imbalance, and hormonal issues. Dr. Brownstein reveals how increasing iodine intake can help detoxify fluoride and bromide naturally.   Choosing Health and Truth   Fluoridated water means you're being medicated without consent. The best solution is to take back control — use filtered water, avoid fluoridated products, and nourish your body with the nutrients God intended. This episode is a reminder that true health begins when you align with God's wisdom for how your body was created to heal and thrive.   ==   Did this episode bless you?   We are grateful for the support of our ministry partners, whose kindness and generosity make teachings like this possible.
