Of the 2,502 U.S. adults surveyed, 48% admit to misleading colleagues about their streaming activities. This behavior affects productivity, as 53% of Gen Z respondents have prioritized binge-watching over work tasks. More than half, 52%, of Gen Z prefers remote work to continue streaming without supervision, while nearly 40% in physical workplaces also stream during work. The average spending on streaming services is $129 per month, which exceeds the $109 spent on clothing. Streaming represents 43.5% of total TV viewership, according to Nielsen. Management experts recommend that employers assess performance to understand the impact of streaming on work and ensure clear communication of company policies if needed.
