Although not widely known, in this episode of Religion Today, Martin describes how in Jewish and Christian tradition and belief, God the Father is seen as being a person in form, with an actual physical body. God is usually depicted in Jewish and Christian scripture and art as a man with a white beard. Early Jews and Christians believed, as do Latter-day Saints today, that God the Father is not alone, but has a wife.
