Before we dive into the words of Jesus according to the Gospel of Luke lets ask ourselves does it address ways of improving the lives of all who live in that state with regards food disparities, better employment opportunities, improved public school education and the nutritional needs of it children, address mass incarceration of minorities, it issue with homeless, etc? Basically how does it measure up to “love thy neighbor”! Love thy neighbor. What am I talking about? Lets now review an encounter Jesus Christ had with an individual who possessed the ability and power to make a difference in his community, an individual who at the time was actually obligated, since was of Jewish descent to live out loud the The Ten Commandments.
