Is it time to renovate the official residence of Canada's prime minister?

For more than a decade, 24 Sussex Drive, the official residence of Canada's prime minister, has sat empty, falling into disrepair. It's been plagued by everything from outdated infrastructure to mould and even rodents, leaving prime ministers to live elsewhere. Prime Minister Mark Carney says it's finally time to do something about it. Should Canada spend money fixing the prime minister's official residence when so many Canadians are struggling to afford housing?
