Are we in the middle of a silent era from God? A look at world events and our personal lives makes a strong case for the affirmative, but the scriptures invite us to engage with a living God - especially in times when this God seems distant and removed.Journaling Prompts:Have you ever been surprised by a living God? The world is quite noisy at the moment. Make a plan to be still before God this week. Perhaps you have 5 minutes or maybe 35, but make a plan and set aside distractions for a specified amount of time. Spend some time in silence. There is no need to produce anything in these moments. Pray the serenity prayer: "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can,And wisdom to know the difference." From there, just talk to God.
