Is James Talarico a Danger to Texas? Ken Paxton's Brings Receipts
from Keeping It Real: Conversations with Jillian Michaels
James Talarico vs. Ken Paxton. The 2026 Texas Senate race decides whether Texas sends its first Democrat to Washington since 1988, and if this seat flips, the Senate goes with it. This Ken Paxton interview is the roadmap. The Texas Attorney General breaks open his ActBlue investigation, reacts to the Talarico clips that have to be seen to be believed, and tells the full story of the surrogate baby he stepped in to save. ▶ THE ACTBLUE INVESTIGATION Paxton's office donated to ActBlue under fake names with untraceable payment methods. It worked. The door for foreign money into American elections is standing wide open, his opponent pulled $20 million through that exact platform in three months, and the judge who shut the case down sits 1,800 miles from Texas. You watched the ActBlue CEO take the Fifth 22 times. This is the man who lit that fuse, and he says the abuse is still happening right now. ▶ THE SURROGATE BABY CASE A surrogate mother ran to Texas with days left in the pregnancy. The couple paying her wanted it ended, even with a nearly 100 percent surgical success rate waiting on the other side. Paxton reached back through 80 years of case law to stop them. What happened in the seven days after that baby was born is the part you will not see coming. ▶ THE TALARICO TAPES The two James Talarico clips my producers begged me to put in front of Paxton on camera. A vegan campaign in the biggest barbecue state in America. A murder jury he suggested was too white to deliver justice. Watch Paxton's reaction to the second one. Talarico is 37 years old. If he takes this seat, Texas lives with what he actually believes for decades, so the only question that matters is which version of this man is real. ▶ THE MAHA FILES Paxton's battles over transparency in what you eat and wear: the chemicals being sprayed on the organic produce at your grocery store, the seed oils hiding in your avocado oil, the dyes in your kids' cereal, and the forever chemicals Lululemon put in leggings it advertised as healthy. Registration closes end of September. Election day is November 3rd.
