Is Jesus professional?

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Colossians 3:23 NIV Are we allowed to take Jesus to work? Is it even professional? What would people say? I know of a colleague of mine who ministered Jesus Christ to another colleague, even led them through the salvation prayer, while they seemed like they were sitting silently by their work cubicles. I remember how I would see them taking work breaks to whisper to each other. For us the outsiders, it appeared as if they were gossiping, I mean why else would colleagues whisper for such extents of time? Little did we know the other colleague was introducing Christ to the other, and subsequently changing their life. I look now at how the colleague who has received Christ has transformed as a person. Her life has gained a better meaning, and she is also constantly and fearlessly making known the good life that is in Christ to others. So, to answer the questions I asked at the beginning: Yes, the rule of thumb is, whenever there are people present, take Jesus there. Of course, you don’t need to stand up tall on your work cubicle and start preaching, but you can share Him in simple encounters or even through your response to certain matters. Your work output should also show that you are ruled by the Spirit of excellence that is found in Jesus Christ. Don’t be preaching Jesus, while your work ethic needs Jesus itself.
