Is Playing Small Exhusting You?

from The She Who Knows Heals Podcast · host Siobhan M kelly

If your life keeps going to shit, no matter what you do, could chronic playing small actually be at the root of your exhaustion? And could finding your voice be the key? In this episode, I’m talking about what happens when we spend years making ourselves smaller — keeping quiet, second-guessing what we know, trying not to upset anyone, and becoming who we think we need to be. Because playing small is exhausting. And sometimes the thing that needs to change isn’t another routine, another healing practice or another attempt to fix yourself. Sometimes it’s about finally telling the truth. Taking up your own space. Finding your voice. And allowing yourself to become more fully who you already are. This is a raw conversation about exhaustion, identity, self-abandonment and what can begin to happen when you stop hiding yourself. Maybe you’re not tired because you’re doing too much. Maybe you’re tired because you’ve been being too little of yourself.
