Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which uses an Oryon CPU structure with lower clock speeds than the Elite version and delivers increased CPU and GPU performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The chip supports satellite connectivity, ultra wideband, and an X80 modem with slightly reduced peak 5G speeds, while maintaining Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, charging, display, and most camera hardware capabilities. The Gen 5 does not support UFS 4.1 storage.
