Is Race More Important Than Character?

from Destini Unfiltered · host Destini Taylor

Martín Luther King had a dream and I’m wondering if it’s ever going to come true. His dream was that people would not be judged based on their color, but on their character, yet here we are in 2021 STILL segregating one another based on skin color. Here we are still worried about people dating outside of their races. Growing cultures and communities had nothing to do with race until we decided to categorize them that way. Why can’t people just focus on being good people, being around other good people, and help lift each other up as people in general? Why are we still talking about race?
