Is “safe, secure, and trustworthy” AI possible? Biden issues Executive Order on artificial intelligence

With much of the world’s focus still residing in the Middle East—and the rest rightly directed toward Arlington, Texas, for the Rangers World Series parade later today—the Executive Order concerning artificial intelligence issued by President Biden earlier this week has gone largely unnoticed. But perhaps the most noteworthy aspect of the story is the way in which tech companies have willingly partnered with the government in developing these new regulations.
