So we're going to stay in the East. Sheldon took us out west, but we're going to come back to the East, I should say. The Philadelphia 76ers at Joel and B are consulting doctors and considering alternative options such as surgery for his injured left knee. Is the 76ers process plan officially over and do they need to blow up the entire roster?
Well, I'm going to let you get over here right now. So I'm going to let you get in the back. I'm going to let you get in the back. I was going to say it's fine.
What you really can't talk because you was capable of Paul George. And obviously you were going to be the answer. I was wrong. I was definitely wrong.
Like, wrap all these niggas up. Get all of them out of here that you can be the... Everybody. That's the whole process, bro.
That's the show. Sheldon, that should have been your own Rochester. There are more. But overall, I wouldn't want to be there.
I will say this, bro. I've been ever since I've been on the show, I feel like there's a few takes that I've been stuck with. The one that I feel like I don't ever get brought up like that a lot is my take on Philly. Because for years, I said this process was a piece of shit because you can't win by losing.
And that was what this whole process was built on. They have never been to the Eastern Conference Finals. They got no championships. They got no banners or any time for the Easter whatever else.
The only thing that they got out of this was MVP. And some people say that's a damn here MVP. So to me, yes, go ahead and blow this up. You got your willing to be the one part.
The one thing ESPN has been doing lately that I kind of don't like, but for this case, it made a lot of sense. It's pocket watch. They be trying to show how much niggas get paid every year, sometimes they start a contract. The amount of money that this nigga making, bro.
Working part time. We were young at Cal Reef for being a part time NBA player. And now this nigga doing their part time NBA shit. Bro, this nigga making them a hundred million dollars a year over the next four years.
And honestly, it don't even make sense because he doesn't, again, the wins don't translate. The points don't translate. I'm not going to question his effort, but I just don't think he's worth it. And if he's not worth it, then everything about this whole process was a waste of time.
They wasted a lot of careers like Juleel or Nolas Nolas. Juleel Jockelford. And I'm not trying to say these things would have been superstars, but I'm saying in a different environment, they could have been at least productive. They could have been at Evan Mosby.
You know what I'm saying? I think Philly wasted a lot of what's his name, the one that got scared. Is Taylor had anxiety now for us? I'm going to kill Rich.
I'm going to kill Rich White. No, folks. No, Rich White was drafted by the Houston Rock. Houston.
They ruined Evan Turner out of Ohio State. You know what I'm saying? They ruined a lot of careers through this process, bro. So I will say, Mark Hill folks, the other.
I will say this. I've been talking about blowing up Philly for a little bit of time now because, and I've been very critical of Joellen B because I don't feel mentally he has what it takes to truly be a champion. Physically, when healthy, he's one of the best players that we've seen. But else is the biggest question and availability is the best ability.
And he don't have none of it. You know what I'm saying? If it wasn't for the MVP and the good years he has had, we will call this guy a bust. Now Nick, I'm going to address a couple of the things that you said in terms of Jaleelio Ockefer, Nolas Nolas, Michael Carter, he was rookie of the year.
There's a lot of guys that they drafted. And this was the disciple of Darryl Murray. I can't remember his name that came before Darryl Murray, but no, it was impressive. He's a hickey.
Hickey. Hickey. Hickey. Hickey.
Hickey. Hickey. They were just drafting. The best player available without trying to make the puzzle pieces work, move back into draft if you don't feel like there's a guy.
So drafting three centers in a perimeter dominated league makes absolutely no sense. It was terrible, bro. And also they drafted Mark Hill folks when you had the opportunity. Tastes up.
Taitom. High in. They sent him low in Lonzo ball. You know what I'm saying?
Mark Hill folks. I never believe. I never. I know you're looking at him, but I'm just saying I never believe the Mark Hill folks.
I always question Mark Hill folks. So I'm only talking from my perspective. I can't talk, you know what I'm saying? Anybody else?
I'm just saying from my perspective, I always question Mark Hill folks. It's over. It's over. The only thing that is salvageable is Tyree Smacksey.
Now the hard part about this whole thing would be who wants to join the media? Yeah. Yeah. Because the business side of the media.
Why? And be this. And be this. And be this.
That's not. That's not. That's not. That's not.
That's not. That's not. Jerry. You're not Jerry.
You're not Jerry. You're Prince, bro. It makes it work. Go here.
Go here. Who is it? No, it's Nick. You know what I'm saying?
So the business side of the Joellen B thing that takes that you have to bring back salary. How sway? Who's giving up anything of value to get Joellen B? And then don't even get me started on PG.
PG. So who's taking on that? Albatross of a contract. This is arguably the worst situation that any team has ever been in outside of Mechel Prokorov New Jersey Nets when they were still in Jersey.
I was going to say we just got to do it. What about the Nets with Hardin, Kyrie, and KD? That was the best situation too. That was but they were still movable assets.
Obviously they still moved on from Kyrie. KD still has value to today. James Hardin is reestablishing his value. Those guys have out PG and Joellen B have zero value.
Who's called? Who's picking up the phone to Hey, can I get this guy? Nobody called him for that. What are they dudes?
It's something going on there because these guys are broken. Man, you started with Ben Simmons. We saw it ourselves because I think we went to that horse game and saw him. I thought we did anyway watching him, you know, in that series like lose it all.
And the middle stuff that went on with Ben Simmons, that's when the process really broke down. It started with being Simmons mentally then Joellen B physically. And it was over after that. There's nothing that's nothing left because they were the last two standing members of the process that made sense nothing else made sense.
And when Jimmy Butler came in, that was when you had every opportunity to win and all, pulling it out. It looked like a real team at that point. And that's all. It was, I don't think it was that, I don't think it was them choosing to buy his hair over Jimmy Butler.
That's what it was. Yeah, that was, that was, that was, because I don't know. Because I think they could have salvaged, I think Jimmy was good enough to at least be the glue to keep like, at least take the blame or like be the leader that people thought Ben Simmons was going to be as the point guard. And I say that Jimmy would have been the point guard on the same take that lead to the role.
And then obviously be the number two in command with Joellen B on the court as like the two, you know, wing big combo. But once they left him and they let him go to Miami where I had this that played out, that broke him. That was the start of the, when the 34, 30 comes out, that's going to be like what broke him. And the Kwislin is shot in every, they don't want to tie it out.
Yeah, the Kwislin is what did it. But what I'm saying is I wanted if Jimmy saw a four-side to see what we didn't see. Jimmy is one of those. He is.
We give it to him. He got out. He wasn't that. Jimmy just wanted his bread and Miami was willing to pay it.
No, no, there's some credence with Jimmy saw behind the city. Jimmy said he wanted to say, didn't he? Yeah. He wanted to say because he wanted the money.
That's just a professional right thing to do and to say. Right. Jimmy was terrible in that game. Seven, I think, by the way.
He was. It happens. Can't. It's what happened.
It's what we're getting about to say. Oh, it happens now. Jimmy is a cancer. He was a same day.
He was a same day. He was a same day. I don't disagree. Can't he?
He can't be cancerous. But you know, sometimes he could be benign. And right now he's benign with worries. That being said, when he got to Philadelphia, he had major issues and Jay Lee Reddy talking about it on his podcast.
The coach, what's his name? Pop the cycle. I can't remember his name. I can't remember his name.
I don't know. I don't even tell him. I forgot. I can't remember his name.
But he's very docile, not a strong leader. He didn't call out the BS. And Jimmy's like, yo, like I'm here one week. Why the hell we not?
You notice? So we know that Jimmy has a very demanding personality. Can't be cancerous at times. Brett Brown.
Thank you. Jimmy can't be cancerous at times. Can't. But at the end of the day, we know this.
Jimmy comes to perform. Right. And is he going to have an all-game and a play off here and there? Of course.
But can't he? That's the money game. That's a huge game. And I only mentioned Game 7, by the way, Chad.
I wasn't talking about those series. But when they needed them, the most, he wasn't there. OK. But he took a worse team.
And Miami, he's to the finals multiple times. So that's why I say, yeah, my fans can. Because we never put him at a superstar level. Like, I did.
You did. I think he still a superstar. Oh my gosh. He turned around the world.
He's scared. He said, word that's the organization. He's ever been a part of it. That's the right.
But I hate it. I hate it. Because at this point, like I said, Joe, it seems like a broken man. Not just talking about his injuries.
A lot of this stuff seems like it's physical, as well as mental. And like I said, we saw what happened with being Simmons. It just didn't work out. It didn't.
And the process may have worked. It had an opportunity to work out if things have been different. But well, they're going to go. The pieces around it had to be in place.
I think it depends on how you define success with the process. Right? They went from being one of the worst teams of the league to being a playoff team. You know, being in contention with the playoffs.
They screwed up a lot of picks. I give you that. But they found a franchise guy in the beat. They knew he was injury prone.
Because he missed the first two years. But they also used that as an opportunity to try to stop Kyle Morpix. So I think in terms of it being, it was successful up to a point, meaning that they managed to become relevant again. And they became a playoff contender.
I think the issue that they ran into, of course, is they didn't pick a championship. They didn't win a championship or even come close. So and I think that is the problem. Then Joe LMB, as he gets older and as most players do, as they get older, he is starting to fall apart.
He was already fragile and brittle before. But age is going to make that accelerate even more. And I think the other thing is when I think about these guys that this revisionist history that people love to do about who, what it should have could have, would Jason Tatum even been who he is, would Jaden Brown even been who he's turned out to be in Philly, given how the organization has been and the leadership of that organization? We don't know the answer to that.
You know, it's possible that the best versions of Jason Tatum and Jaden Brown were gotten out of Boston. And we could be talking about them. Look at how we talked about Jason Tatum and Jaden Brown for years before they won the championship. Years, we criticized Jason Tatum just as much as last year, just as frequently as last year about his mental fortitude and will to win.
100% can't, but this is where I will push back just a little bit. From a pieces fitting, Jason Tatum's game fit better than Mark Hill Foltz. Mark Hill Foltz was to a degree, not like 100% undersized, but a smaller guard. Right?
It's not like he was like Ben Simmons, 610, like just oversized guard. I wouldn't call him undersized, but average. He's 6'5 guard though, people. He's 6'4.
He was 6'4. So you know, like that's Russell Westbrook. It's not amazing, but it's good enough. It's good enough.
But again, the way Mark Hill Foltz played out Washington, how does that mesh with Ben Simmons? Because he needed the ball, right? Like a scoring duo combo guard where Jason Tatum is a bucket-getter, premium size at the position, and he could guard multiple positions where Mark Hill Foltz can't, Mark Hill Foltz, the guard to one in the two. Jason Tatum guard will through five, depending on who the five is.
So just on a basketball fit, he made more sense. And then if you wanted a true point guard, in my opinion, Lonzo was a better true point guard. But then why would you put him and Ben Simmons together? So again, like you said, and you already mentioned Ken, they messed up a lot of draft picks.
Ken, the only other thing on top of some of what Fifu was saying is like, for me, we saw early success with Boston, and they sustained that. We were more so critical about it because our level of expectations rose as they did with NBE. It was like, I don't even want to put it on NBE. Like with Philly, it was just like, I can't even get out the second round.
Like what's going on? I have all this talent, and y'all still can't get out the second round. It seemed even worse that because at least with Boston, we were thinking like maybe you should trade, Tatum, maybe you should trade Brown, like maybe it's just one piece away from you getting over a hump of a championship. We were like, we don't know how the hell you're not even getting to the finals, the conference finals.
Like what's stopping y'all from there? Is it the players, is it the coaches, the organization, like it was a whole clusterfuck of things to me, and it's still going on to this day. That's why a lot of stuff is going to be put on indeed, because he's going to be the last man standing. But at the same time, I can't just throw it all on him.
It looked like I can tell you Brown East Africa, so all that West Africa, it don't matter to me. I don't care about it. It's like, we ought to eat that. It's like, actually, it's like, wow, that makes a wild example.
I see this face when I say it again. I knew he was going to dress it at some point. Right. It's like a West Coast thing is saying, so East Coast, this is against you.
You're a good one, fuck. Like he said, you hate Brooklyn. I think I'm okay. I don't disagree.
I think the expectations were different, but I think the criticisms were very similar. And I think if Taysin was in Philly, I think it would have been heightened even more because of the criticisms of the process overall. Like it was a very dysfunctional environment that people started to call out and look at. So it was very dysfunctional.
So you throw Tatum in the midst, who seemed to not be able to handle the pressure that was put on him in Boston, then Tatum would have received just as much criticism, you know, in Philly. And we would still be probably more than likely having the same issues. But he wouldn't have made it in Philly. He slept with his mom team and started taking a break.
Oh, wow. You had to break that up. He said it. He said it.
No, he did. What do you say? What do you say? He said it.
He said it. He slept with his mom team and started taking his own. Look at Kidface. I think it's like it's Ross.
That's how he said it. He said it was right. He said it was right. He said it was right.
He said it was right. He was started taking a break. He ain't making it in Philly. I was going to say it.
He didn't go out. Do you think he said, do you think they should vote? How many people race ahead if you think they should vote? The rock thing.
I'm going to keep maxing. Let's keep maxing. To me, that's the goal. That's the goal.
That's the goal. You keep on going. That's the goal. They ain't building a shit.
They ain't building a shit. They ain't building a fort. You don't need to build a round. You don't need to build a round.
He's solid though. I fuck with Maxie. But you don't build a team around Tyree's Maxie. No, you don't.
That's what I'd be building around. Dana Bronson. I don't know. I don't know.
I think. Bronson, let a team to the conference final show. I'll do what you try to say. Oh, what you did.
I think, who do you lead to the conference final? You tell my doubts. He ain't listening to the conference final. Bronson, he's all about brushing.
I think that it's a tough situation because I think I have to see what people are saying. So I don't know if you guys put it in the chat somewhere that mentally and be is going through some issues or something like that. Like he doesn't seem like he's the same. So if he's checked out, then you got to let him go.
But it's a buyers beware because what is he almost 30 over 30? Like physically, there's no way he's going to be able to keep going at this rate. So you have to do some serious load managing with him. And then I don't know how you build pieces around.
Because Matt's going to be works. Paul George came in and didn't do shit. But and beat has been hurt. So we haven't had a chance to really see what this team truly could have been if he was healthy.
But we see the value of him because with him, nowhere, not even touching the court. They won't even become a close winning game. So they apologize to get hurt. Got hurt.
And then it was a wrap. So he is the engine that drives that team. But I don't know. Then you can get shit from for him.
I mean, you probably could. You know, I mean, they wait in nowadays. Yeah. You could get six draft picks for Rudy Gober.
I know you could get probably them their half a franchise. I still best would have beat though. I'm not anti-indi. I'm still listening.
Rudy hasn't missed time. He's always available. Rudy's hurt now. In comparison and relative to 20.
He'd be 1% hurt. You want to go. Never mind. I didn't say that.
I can't. I'm just saying. I wouldn't. Okay.
Everybody put a GM cap on real quick. Are you calling Billy to trade for a dwelling B? No. No.
I don't know. Maybe. Maybe. Langerfield.
Yeah. The fact that Langerfield is in the higher ups of the hour. It's not a feeling given that bottle here is a game. The Nets, the Nets are trade for him.
Hell no. They need to leave. They need to send that thing to Seattle, honestly. Don't nobody will fuck about Brooklyn Nets like that.
They're trade for him because they need a name. Yeah, that's what they do. That's what they got. Old STG.
Yeah. You know, so. Shout to KG too. He got he getting ready to get the job in Minnesota's for office.
All right. I guess. Well, anyway, I guess we'll find out man, but I think the end is definitely near for in beat. And we're going to move on.
