Is the American Dream Still Alive?

from Market Shares With Tony Blodgett · host Tony Blodgett

Welcome to our 2024 season of Market Shares! In the first episode of the year, I got to sit down with my good friend Anton Stetner to discuss where we think the 2024 market is headed. Anton is a real estate agent, investor, business owner and has incredible insight in the real estate market. In this episode, Anton and I dive into the recent FED announcement and some specific data that indicates where our market is headed in 2024. We pulled data from recent studies to show how our market is reacting to the recent decrease in interest rates and current inflation. We also discuss the recent increase in bankruptcy filings, unemployment numbers, loan and auto delinquencies and how these are all leading indicators of a possible mild or medium recession. We also dive into the idea of the ‘American Dream’ and what that looks like in 2024. Is the American Dream dead or has the dream just shifted? We discuss how this political cycle and inflation play a part in the mindset around the American Dream and what we believe is in store for 2024. This episode serves as a 2024 overview for anyone interested in the intersection of real estate, finance, and content creation, offering valuable insights and predictions for the exciting journey ahead. Key Take-aways from the podcast: Predictions for 2024 Is the American Dream dead? Why are we experiencing a K Shaped Recovery after the past 3 years?Investing – how consistently investing small amounts can set you up for your future. Our predictions that the FED will continue to lower rates, but we will experience a 'Soft Crash Landing in 2024'
