Is The Fate of Our Democracy in Jeopardy?

Every election cycle we hear “This is the most important election of our generation,” “this election will change the trajectory for the next 100 years,” “If you elect X, this could spell the end of our democracy,” If you elect Y, we are all saved. And somehow for over 200 plus years our Republic has survived – resignations; assassinations; scandals; debilitating illness; and most of all, abject incompetence. 2024 is no different. 2024 is the most important election of your lifetime because it is the next election of your lifetime. And because men and women have died on battlefields across the world to give you that right to choose who represents you. Don’t vote because you’re scared. Vote because you are happy or pissed off with interest rates that are almost seven times what they were three years ago, gas prices three times what they were three years ago, home affordability the lowest its been in a long time, and basics like food and clothing higher than it has been. Democracy will survive whether you vote or not. But if you don’t vote, don’t complain.
