Is the Pistons' window closed now that the East is getting stronger?

The conversations continues about the 76ers' league-shaking move to sign LeBron James to a two-year, $8 million contract. It doesn't look great for the Pistons, who never seemed to in the mix for the living legend's services. Do they have another move up their sleeve to build the supporting cast around Cade Cunningham? And have they missed their window, coming off a 64-win season, to reach and even win a title?
