Basically, trying to make sure your art is ‘palatable’.But the artistic process is about getting familiar with what we may think of as the ‘too much’ (or not enough) parts of ourselves, with all the vulnerability and self-doubt that stirs up. And knowing that it is beneath the surface of ‘palatable’ that we will find our most amazing art.
