Is there any value in Routine? (Communicating towards The Answer-8)
from The Divine Man (El Hombre Divino) Show · host Devavan
We have been taught that routines can be helpful in a person's transformational process in the sense that practice at a set time and a spiritual "to do list" that is instructing how to live towards God etc. are necessary or at least can help to train the mind to reach and sustain such desired goal and state of mind. Routines are considered to help in attaining to surrender to the Holy Spirit. But is such a concept of prescribed disciplines really the ingredient for revelation? We have experienced that if a routine is given too much attention and power, then fear and upset can arise when it can't be adhered to, and after some time doubts about the quest for enlightenment arise and frustration gets a stronghold in the practitioners mind. Are there other ways demonstrated? What if the routine starts to trump the Voice for God and there is no space for us to hear His direction? Is there a way that the routine can be used by the ego to maintain control and avoid listening, and thus avoiding the direct communication with God? Or are there certain routines that are always good and beneficial no matter what, i.e. the ones that involve dedicating time with God? Often much of what creates value in a set schedule is an idea of what has worked in the past, but is no longer aligned with the present recognition of the Divine within. By communicating and joining with Him we are learning to let go of control, fear and past ideas about most of the routines, and realize the simplicity to give our day to God by releasing it from the past. ◊ Jesus teaches us in A Course in Miracles that we can change our mind in regard to this limited thinking, and offers us a new basis of relating with Him inside our Heart and Soul. (Text, Chapter 1-VII-4., Review III-2., Review VI-5.-6., Ls 95-6., TM-16.-2.,4.-6.) ◊ Next Session:YouTube: https://youtu.be/cz1EhOPtZWA
