IS THERE SOMEONE OUT THERE?

Walking through the shadows, feeling kind of lost Searching for a beacon, no matter what the cost Heard the whispers softly, of a feeling so profound But all I've ever stumbled on was shaky, shifting ground Is there something more than just the touch and fleeting glance? A deeper kind of comfort, a second, hopeful chance? My heart keeps on repeating, a question in the air Tell me, can you show me what it means to truly care? Is there someone out there who can meet me halfway there? I've been wandering lonely, with this longing in my soul Tell me, can you teach me how to make my spirit whole? Tried to build my castles on foundations made of sand Every time the tide came in, they crumbled in my hand Seen the faces come and go, promises like fragile glass Hoping for a connection that was built to truly last Is there something stronger than the words that people say? A constant kind of presence to brighten up the day? My heart keeps on repeating, a question in the air Tell me, can you show me what it means to truly care? Is there someone out there who can meet me halfway there? I've been wandering lonely, with this longing in my soul Tell me, can you teach me how to make my spirit whole? I reach out in the darkness, hoping for a guiding light Someone to stand beside me, and make everything feel right Tell me, can you show me what it means to truly care? Is there someone out there who can meet me halfway there? I've been wandering lonely, with this longing in my soul Tell me, can you teach me how to make my spirit whole? Oh, I want to know, I really want to know What love is, and how it starts to grow. Yeah, I want to know, I really want to know.
