You know in soppy rom-coms, and so-bad-they’re-good dramas, when the two main characters have an argument based on a misunderstanding? Like, the boyfriend sees his girlfriend hugging another guy, and gets really jealous and upset, only to find out much later that it was her brother? Maybe, like me, you yell at your TV at that point – JUST TALK TO THEM! So much drama and conflict, just because you couldn’t tell them that you’re upset, or because you’ve misinterpreted something.   Well Jesus’ teaching in this passage from Matthew 18 is a good lesson not just for writers of dodgy movies, but for all of us when we deal with conflict and sin.   Tim will unpack the passage for us, as we read from Matthew, chapter 18.
