Is this the end of indoor track cycling in Cape Town?

The City of Cape Town has announced that they have finally concluded a deal which will see the upgrading of the Bellville athletics track and have it retained as a public facility, while also upgrading the adjacent Bellville Velodrome into a world-class concert and events venue. But this news has not been welcomed by the indoor track-cycling community as the Velodrome currently hosts the only fully-indoor Olympic-sized cycling track on the African continent.
