Is Unbiased News in the Media Possible?

Talking back at the talkbackers -- for all the good that television news is capable of, this good only comes as one possible consequence of great power. This is yet another narrative in our lives, a major socializing agent in the ranks of parents, school, friends, and the entertainment we actually enjoy. News is not only potentially dangerous for what we glean from it, but from what everyone else does. Paranoid yet? If you listen till the end, you'll find that your beloved and handsome hosts are totally not. But I've long opened each phone call with an admission to the NSA guy tapping in: "I'm masturbating."
