RJ Cross is the director of the Don't Sell My Data Campaign, part of the Public Interest Research Group (PIRG). The State of Privacy: How State “Privacy” Laws Fail To Protect Privacy, And What They Can Do Better grades the 14 state-level consumer privacy laws that have passed so far, finding nearly half receive an ‘F’ for how well they protect consumers’ personal information.
