Rumors swirl of former workers still roaming the underground beer caves, hand-dug by miners, and the ghostly echoes that remain. Our journey continues to the Yuengling Mansion on Mahantango Street, where unexplained footsteps, self-opening doors, and reports of spirits—including a young boy and Irish servants—hint at a deeper supernatural story. We also visit the Charles Baber Cemetery, the final resting place of David G. Yuengling (1808–1877), where a ghostly shooting was once reported in the Pottsville Miners Journal. Local legends also speak of Corpse Candles—glowing death omens—seen by Welsh youths among the headstones. Finally, we head to St. Clair, PA to grab a drink at the haunted Wooden Keg Tavern—a former Molly Maguire hangout, complete with a historic Speakeasy and underground tunnel rumored to be as full of spirits as it once was of whiskey.
