Is Zoe Saldana as Nina Simone Hollywood Colorism Gone Too Far?

Did the casting of Afro-Latin beauty ZOE SALDANA as the legendary jazz singer, NINA SIMONE, go too far?   Recording artist India Arie thinks so, but Simone's own daughter doesn't see a problem with SALDANA'S selection for the role  WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?  The recent pictures of SALDANA with darkened skin and prosthetic nose for make-up used in order to play SIMONE has people questioning whether they will support the upcoming biopic at all. Hollywood has historically chosen lighter-skinned Black actresses for roles whenever possible, but in the case of SALDANA, she's cast to play SIMONE who stood as the antithesis to this type of imagery in entertainment.  SIMONE was not only a jazz legend, but also considered a civil right's activist who once sang Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair. This controversy also brings into question the idea of COLORISM in the Black community, and is it still prevalent outside of hollywood?  MENTAL DIALOGUE asking the questions America's afraid to ask.  "ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU THINK" #justmy3cents
