“Isaiah 11- A New Shoot” focuses on the character of an offspring (Jesus) who will come from the root of Jesse – what His character will be like, although it is written 600 years before He was born. Comparing this passage with Luke 2:46-48 shows that Jesus was indeed the descendent of Jesse that the Isaiah passage is describing.
