These prophecies remind us that God is not only merciful and gracious, but also holy and just. He uses both nations and nature to carry out His judgment, showing His sovereignty over all creation. Even His chosen people are not exempt—Jerusalem faces condemnation for ignoring God’s call to repentance and choosing revelry over remorse.
