This podcast was recorded in October 2024 in New Jersey, USA. Gaura Das is a disciple of Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. He first heard about Krishna through the music of George Harrison. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, he met devotees at the age of 21 and was invited to meet Srila Prabhupada in Chicago during the July 4th weekend of 1975. His first service was book distribution, and he has dedicated most of his devotional career to serving in Canada, with one year in the U.S. assisting Tripurari Swami on the renowned Library Party. Over the years, he has engaged in various devotional services, including Sankirtan, managing Govinda’s restaurants, cooking, pujari seva, and college preaching. One of his remarkable contributions has been his effort to reconnect Srila Prabhupada’s disciples. He has searched for and brought together 972 Prabhupada disciples on Facebook, forming the largest gathering of Srila Prabhupada’s followers in the world.
