Israel as America's Strategic Ally | US News

A retired British Army Colonel argues that supporting Israel isn’t just political or religious—it’s a patriotic duty for Americans, vital to U.S. national security. With firsthand experience in Afghanistan and Iraq, Kemp contends Israel acts as a “force multiplier,” enhancing America’s military power through shared intelligence, testing U.S. weapons, and countering regional threats—saving billions and reducing American troop deployments. He warns rivals like China and Russia are actively trying to undermine the U.S.-Israel alliance, even targeting activist groups suspected of foreign influence. Recent examples, like Germany firing Israeli-made missiles, show how Israel’s tech is strengthening Western allies’ defenses. Kemp urges U.S. leaders to see support for Israel as a barometer of global security commitment—and to resist political divisions that could weaken America’s strategic edge.
