Israel Houghton | Created to Worship: The Heart Behind the Music

Grammy-winning worship leader Israel Houghton sits down with Pastor Rickie G. Rush for one of his most honest and unfiltered conversations ever. Israel opens up about the storms behind the spotlight — the seasons of loss, loneliness, and starting over. He talks about the moment in a small apartment when God told him to sing again… and he told God he had nothing left to say. That breaking point became the beginning of real worship. In this episode, Israel and Pastor Rush dive into: • What happens when life knocks you off course • Finding God when the music stops and the room goes quiet • The power of honest worship and heart-level faith • How God rewrites stories people try to end • Why nothing changes until you decide to try If you’ve ever faced storms, setbacks, or silent seasons, this conversation will speak straight to your spirit.
