Israel Palestine Ceasefire is still in place

U.S. envoys arrived in Israel to shore up the tenuous ceasefire holding in Gaza after a major flareup threatened to derail it.There are concerns about how much aid Israel is allowing into Gaza, which is part of the ceasefire agreement.Palestinians in Gaza are wary that the deal will hold after Sunday's flareup, which saw funerals for dozens killed by Israeli strikes across the strip.From the United Nations On Gaza, we are encouraged that the parties have reaffirmed their commitments to implementing the ceasefire in Gaza and commend the steadfast efforts of the mediators. We remain concerned by all acts of violence in Gaza and the reported attacks and strikes that took place yesterday.  We urge the parties to honor all their commitments, ensure the protection of civilians and avoid any actions that could lead to a renewal of hostilities and undermine humanitarian operations. We reiterate the Secretary-General’s call for the release of the remains of the deceased hostages.  From Al Jazeera US President Donald Trump has deployed a number of senior officials to Israel as Washington looks to preserve a fragile Gaza ceasefire deal.
