Israel Releases Five Lebanese Civilians | US News

Israel releases five Lebanese detainees—none linked to Hezbollah, according to Netanyahu’s office—as part of a U.S.-brokered deal aimed at recovering remains of Jewish leaders kidnapped in the 1980s. While Israel plans eventual withdrawal from southern Lebanon under the agreement, Hezbollah hasn’t formally accepted the terms.
