Israel Vibration is a highly influential Jamaican roots reggae group formed in the late 1970s. The founding members, Lascelle "Wiss" Bulgin, Albert "Apple Gabriel" Craig, and Cecil "Skelly" Spence, met as children at a Kingston rehabilitation center while recovering from polio. After being expelled for adopting the Rastafari faith, they lived on the streets and began singing together to survive. Their 1978 debut album, The Same Song, brought international breakthrough success and gained praise from Bob Marley. Backed by the legendary Roots Radics band, they shaped global reggae for decades with their spiritual lyrics and distinctive three-part harmonies.
