It All Starts With Energy

You know that moment when you can’t decide between two things and your brain says just get both?My brain picked option three.Five minutes from closing time in my favourite stationery shop in Toulouse, holding two notebooks, feeling the very French version of being politely swept out the door — and I nearly did it. Nearly got both. Until I heard my own voice saying ‘simplify is the default’ - one or none Emma.So I left them, and when I woke up I knew exactly which one I wanted. AND Absolute certainty. Spaciousness. And the pleasure of knowing exactly what I was going to do, with the additional joy of the unexpected when the stationary shop I ended up in took the time to emboss my notebook with ‘My Life Atelier’ and I got to share what I do as well as practise my french. From contraction to expansion, like remembering to unclench your jaw and roll your shoulders. That’s what this episode is really about.We talk a about decision-making, about clarity, about knowing what you want — but underneath all of it is: your energy. And I wanted to know exactly what that means. Science level please. No in the actual, biological, what I now know is ATP-level way. Because this morning I woke up to birdsong, without an alarm, and the first thought I had was: it all starts with energy.And then my next thought?
