It Came from China (And Other Fake News)

Are you guys as tired as I am at Trump blaming China for the fact that 225,000 people have died in the U.S. from the coronavirus pandemic.The China plague. The China virus. It came from China. Every time he or one of his henchmen in the White House or Republican Party talk about it, China is always to blame.Not the fact that they have minimized the seriousness of the pandemic from its inception and still have no national plan to contain it, and not the fact that Trump, himself, draws people together like flies, risking their lives to feed his own ego. None of that has anything to do with the fact that cases in the U.S. continue to rise, with more than 8.6 million as of today, and people keep dying.Now, today, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows repeated the “It came from China” mantra when he was interviewed on CNN.
