On this episode of Nailing The Apex, Tim Hauraney is joined by Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team Principal Gavin Ward for his first of multiple periodic appearances on NTA this season. Gavin has been the engineer for some of the best driers in the sport from the likes of Daniel Ricciardo, Mark Webber, to IndyCar’s Josef Newgarden and Pato O’Ward. Gavin takes us through what makes his approach to being a Team Principal different from others (00:00) Over the last decade there has been a massive shift in talent in IndyCar where weak drivers are now weeded out, Gavin takes us through just how competitive IndyCar is, and walks us though his way of leading the team (06:40).
