It was sold as a progressive idea that would give prostituted women more agency and reduce crime. Well, it turns out that the opposite has happened. Renate Van Der See is a Dutch writer and investigative journalist who has been covering women’s rights issues for 15 years. She has recently uncovered the case of a Dutch pimp who trafficked over 400 girls and women into porn and prostitution, most of them from Eastern-Europe.
